I'm just hoping to have mine off the jackstands by then - need to hunt down an electrical gremlin or two and at least "rig" some headlights! Sounds like I'll have some wheels by then (hopefully driving to Rochester tonight to pick 'em up).
If for some freak of a reason I can't get my GT on the road - I may have to bring a borrowed 'vette!

Small chance that my car will make it. Must locate some lifters and a head gasket set by tomorrow! Anybody here have either?? Looks as if I will be showing up to check out the cars in my winter beater.
We haven't really heard if anyone is bringing parts - we've got space for them if they do!
It's been hard to get any response from out of state people - even those who came last year... so we're not entirely sure who'll be there yet!?
Oh yeah... I picked up the wheels last night - they look fantastic. Eric has them at the shop and is supposed to be mounting & balancing the tires this afternoon. Unfortunately I think I chose the wrong glue to put in the trim bolts (plastic cap head screws) - as it foamed up a bit more than expected... so the finish isn't going to be 100% perfect - but they still look good!

I can't wait to see those wheels Rob! You can stop by and show them off if you want to!! Looks like I'll be pulling an all nighter working on this thing. The work begins at 3pm. Hopefully it won't take as long as I am expecting. I still need to buy a gasket kit (Napa will probably have to order it )
My other tires are 5 years old and they don't mount tires 5 years or older..B.S.
That's definitely lame... no reason they couldn't mount 'em as long as they're in good condition. I'd take 'em to a real shop then! (still... that's no reason for your car to be "not done" - your old tires will hold for the show if necessary!)

Steel belts were coming through..but the good news they did it anyways..i guess bitching does work..lol also they didn't charge me for mounting them or balancing.. but they did one little thing wrong but oh well..lol

The weather channel? Come on... when have they ever been right? Guess we'll have to keep an eye on the storms developing out west!
note to self - bring rain coat!

Glad to hear that your car is running well again - does it drive "a bit" better now?

The car runs. Better than it did before... I am wondering now if it is not the 160 thermostat that the DAPO put in that is making in run poorly... like maybe in and out of open loop... I don't have a scanner so I don't know where the car is running at. I would love to get that one from the Fiero Store as don't have a non USB laptop. I am pretty sure that there is an air bubble in the coolant because when I drive the temp will go up and hover at around 210 and then drop back down to around 160~170... but it doesn't last long... I am also going to try to make some more shims to see if I can cinch down my sunroof... I got some more scrap plastic from work to do that with. Wheee... Its a dang good thing that I like this car.
On the plus side, my tach doesn't jump around anymore now that I installed the new tach filter from the Fiero Store... too dang expensive but its a sealed unit and it works!
I will see you guys up there.. but not in the Fiero... it doesn't like rain.. with the sunroof and drivers window the way they are, I might as well drive up there with the window down and the sunroof out.
It was mostly the diehards that were out that morning as it was pouring rain but after about 12:30 or so it cleared up and Minnegreen and myself proceeded to turn in to lobsters...
I am sure that Rob will have more pics... but here are some that I took...
The GreenGT with the new wheels... very nice...
FieroSTS
MFF'er Pete's car (I am not sure if he has a PFF name...)
I took quite a few pictures of this next car... FlyingBob and his wife have been working for 2 years on thier car and this was the first time that I had seen it... he was still in the process of working out some engine swap gremlins and a little wiring but the car was beautiful. They have the Pegasus actually etched in to the sail panels and the word Fiero etched into the sun roof glass... no stickers. They have done all the work themselves and it was started by stripping it to the frame. Great work!!!
We ended up with a decent turnout considering the rain (it was pouring until shortly after noon). I believe we had 25 registered cars & roughly 5-10 more that showed up throughout the day.
Here's Thomas "TEA" Arnold's custom painted decklid - unusual subject, but nicely done.
Most of the show field early in the day:
Tim (FieroSTS's) "naked" Fiero - driven to the show & detailed! ...one of Tim's 3 entries
