I replied with these pictures to a post in the mall and I figured since I PIP'd them, I might as well put em here too...

If you are lookin for a front plate mount for an aero fascia, you may want to consider this one from SLP. It bolt to the bottom of the facia then curves down away from the underside, and curves up and out infront. The mount doesn't contact the bottom or the front at all except the small strip where it bolts to the underside. It came with all the needed hardware to attach to the car including the washers. It doesn't leave any marks or holes in the visable part of the bumper so you can remove the bracket for shows, etc..

It may not be for everyone, but its something different than the 'factory' style mount that puts the plate smack in the center of the vent. We chose to mount this one under the pass side parking light, but it can be mounted in the center of the bumper just as easily...

"Shipped complete with all mounting hardware and detailed installation instructions the SLP license plate bracket is finished in a rustproof aluminum finish that looks great out of the box or can be painted to match the exterior of your vehicle."

I like it, good idea and good find, Thanks.

I wonder how much it would flex back toward the facia at Hwy speeds mounted where you have it and in the middle.

That looks good. It would look even better with the license plate folded like I have mine such that it's only about 5 inches high.

I thought that was illegal now in TX? I know people that have been ticketed now for thier license plate frames covering the outside edge of thier plates. Of course.. I know many peopel that run without front plts at all and never get stopped...

I read the new law, it is illegal to cover up or obsure any part of the words or state name. The crappy personalized plates don't have any words or anything on the bottom part of the plate, so nothing is obscured.

EDIT...It is so commonly misunderstoond that the new law has made it to Urban Legends...
