Went to Track on Friday. Looking to finally run an 11 second pass. Well I didn't quite make it to the finish, but got a pretty good video out of the trip.

I got the car good and set, convertor stalled to 2600RPM, ready to go. Come off the brakes, hit the gas and :

You can see the front tires lift, then a spark under the car as the left CV shaft snaps, and the car comes down.

Guess I will have to wait till next year to get a time.

Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials rock. That launch was at 30 psi tire pressure. They hook hard and drive nice and straight.

3800SC, powrtuned 98 PCM, TOG headers, 3" exhaust, XPcam, 2.8" pulley, ported heads, LS1 MAF, ported Throttle body, 4T60E with 3.69 gears. 235/60R15 M/T ET Street Drag Radials.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Take some pictures of the damage too, I'm kind of curious to see the failure itself.

Nice lift. Did you stall it to take off, or just punch it?

Folks don't believe I do that but not as high and slighter slower. I have been pulled over by folks to holler that I did it. Mine has the 4t60e Heavy duty in it. Did you stall it to take of or just punch it?

That is on Drag Radials.

4T60E, Pontiac 6000 left and right axle is Fiero left manual CV shaft. I luckily trailered it out there, so I had a ride home.

Stalled to 2600-2700 RPM.

Picks of the carnage:

ive got two questions, first of all what motor do you have in your car? how much power are you making hp / tourqe. thats sux it always hurts when you break somthing like that but better you broke it at the track then driving to work or somehting stupid. my other question, which i think i know the answer to but im new so ill ask anyway. there isnt anywhere where people have the specs on thier car listed is there? maybe it should be added into their profiles that would be pretty cool just click on the profile and see what they've got. anyway good luck fixing your car, what doesnt kill it will only make it stronger
