This isn't a vid of Fieros, unfortunately, however after watching the latest cruise vid, I was thinking that next year, we could combine the midwest burger burn with the central iowa fiero meet and get a lot of really cool footage and make a more complete video, similar to what I put together two years ago for socalz.org . It's a little dim since it was changed from .dv to .mov and then to .wmv and the quality deteriorated as it was compressed and then recompressed, but it's still pretty clear, the music is still nicely synched and meshed. Here are two examples of what I've put together in the past. If we can get together and have several cameras rolling at once, we can make a really, really great piece of media.
I used Final Cut Pro version 1 to make both of these. Session took about 8 hours of editing and around 2 hours or so of total footage. "You Can't Beat Z" took less time because I didn't omit the engine noise, nor did I make it as refined. I made "You Can't Beat Z" in about an hour and a half using around 1 hour of footage on two different tapes. Again, I apologize for it being dark. I kept the sizes down so everyone could download.

SoCalZ "You Can't Beat Z" (aka "stoopid ass") - Music + Engine Noise + Video]
My favorite part of this video comes at 1:44, where I'm following the 350Z's and downshift. I love that sound.
I'd really like to do something like this for the Fiero, however I no longer have two DVC cameras and tripods at my disposal, or anywhere near as many friends willing to go out with me and help shoot video, or my primary editing computer (I used my home Macs to do the editing, out here at school in Iowa, I have a PC).
If anybody would like to get out there and shoot stuff like this at the next meet and put something like this together, get in touch with me and we can start planning out what'd be most appropriate for the Fiero. I am thinking that it would probably be really cool if I left in the engine noise for the Fiero vid, given the amount of variety between engine swaps etc.
We should definitely find ourselves a nice, semi-twisty bit of road to film on, in addition to having some nice boulevard-cruise shots.
I'm sure this is probably a little bit daunting to some, but the end product is always worth the effort.
