Just got done cleaning up and wanted to tank everyone one more time for taking the day to come out and run around with their fellow Fiero lovers. I really appreciate the support and, provided everyone had a good time, fully plan on holding this event again next year. It was also great to meet a few new faces and see some people I hadn't seen in awhile. A special thanks to Revin who made the long journey from Pflug-Austin, I hope you had a good enough time you'd do it again. I'd also like to add that I'm really sorry you couldn't make it Stephen, I hope your car gets to feeling better, and to Blake I sure hope that was some good clarinet playing.
I've got a bunch of pictures, most taken by Tim (thank you for that), but I'm too tired to post them right now and will do so after work tomorrow. Anyone else who got pictures go ahead and post them, let's make everyone jealous

It was such a beautiful day yesterday and I was stuck working at a baseball game running center field camera...sadly the game wasn't what was on my mind....couldn't help but think about how much fun y'all were having. Will do my best to be there next year...and hope to see some of y'all at other events....
I wish to thank james and amber for a great job in planning this event. I was sorry that I could not stay for the rest of the activities but the call of a v8 installation was too strong. I enjoyed myself as did everyone else. I look forward to attending next year. Hope those who could attend this year make it to next years.

The NTFC Spring Fling was a huge success because of the work and planning you and James (Jazzman) and unnamed others (Daniel, your father, etc) put into this event. Thanks a lot.
I have many pix and will attempt to post some:
Let's start with YOU!:
Randon shots form the beginning:
I'll add more as I get them processed for PIP posting.

I really wanted to make the trip over to Cedar hill even though my car was down. But I left for the meeting at 10:30 and didnt end up getting my car back to the house until a little after 3:30. In that time frame, I had made four trips from my house to Rockwall and back so I was burnt out on driving. Not to mention very frustrated at my car and wanting to find out what was wrong with it. Its still down and out so the work continues today on finding out whats worng with it. Looks like several ppl showed up and the show turned out to be a sucess. Sorry for not making it over there Kevin, I know you came all the way to Dallas just to see my car. I guess you will jsut have to wait to the nect show.

I had a great time also, this was a well planned event. Great food, good friend's (except Revin), good cruse, good fiero talk. The "Fiero parts guess it game" was a lot of fun. Thanks to Amber, Amber's Dad, James (jazz man), and Daniel Steve

Alright, I have a total of about 60 pictures, but in all honesty John's were a little better so I'll just post a few that are different that what he got
First, we met at Pappa's Barbeque:
From there we journeyed to Autozone:
At AutoZone James had a great (even though I lost) Name the Part game:
A little later on he told us what the parts actually were:
(and for those of you who had to leave before the winner was announced... Tim won, then Mark and Daniel tied for second)
The first game was to stop on a dime, the second was to back up into a parking spot and get as close to the cone as you could without actually touching:
We then combined the totals to get one winner. It turned out to also be Tim, but he had won in Daniel's car so we'll give him a little credit too.
I may not have quite been able to figure out how to back up into a spot:
But I still got the closest to the cone, within 1/2 inch... so there
After the festivities at the park we drove the two minutes back to my house where we had the awards:
I'd misplaced the list of who won what, so they were randomly distributed.
The door prizes:
I unfortunetely had over printed tickets, so it took awhile to find any winners.
And finally Master Chef James cooked us a very good fajita dinner:
------
I never realised throwing an event could be so much work, but as long as everyone had fun it was definetely worth it. I think I got enough positive feedback I'll even be forced to do it again next year, so for those of you who were unfortunete enough to have missed it go ahead and clear your calendars every weekend next spring, just to be sure it won't happen again

Ahhh the Dallas Fiero Club parties.......... .....ready? ok here IT comes.....
I saw some new faces and cars!
Well after eating a $9.00 chopped beef sandwitch Loyde ran away and so did we (to the show ) The "game" must have been for pros, cause even I did not win...BUT I would have beat Steven (if he showed up)
I mean, it was SO HARD, it made a man run away like a girl !!!
Oh and It seemed like everyone wanted to park next to the out-of towner
Some even tried to look a bit like my car ( in red)
The best part was feeding James (Jazzman to you and me) to the fishes! or was he kissing them???????
Ending up @ Amber's place was GREAT!! I may have to go back there WITH A TRUCK! It all ended with a cooking lesson, fun prizes, good people ( except for Steve) All in all it was a good ending...heh heh ( so it seemed huh)
"TANKS" Amber, Daniel, James And the Dallas group! Oh and Steven, and Blake, you two BOTH have to find a new place to stay in Pville! Amber and Daniel have taken over...and James, well...you can park your car by the curb in front of the house...

On the way home, I was trying to be good but with a car like mine it does seem to invite raceing. some one in a accord reved up next to me while I was doing 75mph on I35 then took off, so I HAD to catch and pass which I did easily. I backed off then a camaro came up with us and keep on going. the accord went after him so I said why not. After Passing the acccord again doing 120mph I set my goals to the camaro. Not sure of the speed but I had the 120 mark long ago pegged! ( a guess would have been around 150-160mph) I must have done a great job on the front end rebuild cause the was very little vibration at that speed! Oh and no I did not catch him. If there are more than one cars on the road I will back way off at that speed( which I did) and the accord blows past me and weaved in and out of the "other cars" Whoa, to stupid for me. so back to 70mph. several miles ahead I saw cop lites....guess who was pulled over???? the accord dude. I blew the horn as I passed hee hee
I arrived at home just over two hours!!! 2hrs. 13min. How many miles was that???

Heh, do I get a sofa for the night in exchange for the brake fluid? I'm pretty sure we'll be hotelling it, but if yall decide your house is too far I'll share our floor
I kept trying to race everyone all through the cruise, I bet I'm the only who had their (unbroken) pedal pushed to the floor the whole time... unfortunetely that super-yellow Cavalier kept putting me in my place... the guy at the paint place told me yellow cars were faster than orange ones.
Glad yall had a good time and safe trips home.

Glad all (but me) had a good time. I was working too. Not all bad. At least we moved my rig to Bryan/College Station. It is a fun town . My new commute has me going through Austin on Hwy 290 and I pass within 10 miles of Pflugerville. Revin, if you need help pushing your car on and off the trailer, let me know .

I want to thank Amber James, and 'others' that put this event together. Its nice that people step up to promote the Fiero, and family activites. I wish I didnt have so many projects going right now, but I do my work for others, and just try to squeeze in some personal work and fun somewhere.
It was a very nice car... I'm usually not a fan of choptops, but if I had a few thousend spare dollars laying around it'd be mine. The job on the chop was amazing, I'm not going to say it's better than a certain someone's version (I don't want to be stoned to death), but it was very impressive.
Hmm, I wonder if my car needs less headroom?
Nah, probably not.

Well actually... it was. Definately not what I wanted to be doing that Saturday... not with Revin Rogers in town.
I guess my surprise did not show up? I had called Cedar Hill police with an anonymous tip that lots of citations could be issued for random things to Fiero's meeting in the Autozone parking lot Saturday afternoon...
What you all don't know is that actually, Poe and I went to Shreveport that day on a serious gambling binge... and didn't want y'all to tag along.
I am surprised James allowed his face to be captured on camera. Last time I tried, he said the camera would steal his soul.
Parts game looked fun! I am going to do one also, just it will consist of parts I have taken off of my car because they were useless: -- interior coat hooks (also known as 'scalp-scar-creators') -- thottle body coolant lines (also known as 'those-damn-things-in-the-way-every-time-I-need-to-get-to-the-dizzy') -- engine insulation (also known as 'rear-compartment-dust-bug-and-grease-trap') -- catalytic convertor (also known as 'sounds-like-a-snare-drum-when-rotted-out') -- front plate bracket (also known as 'front-air-dam') Dang, now you have the answers, guess I will have to go remove so more useless crap!
I should have the last of the stuff taken care of (dish washing, putting stuff back in inventory, etc.) tonight, and it's time to relax and start thinking about next year.

Heh, what you didn't know is that Fieros are pretty much unticketable in Cedar Hill... let's just say I got some connections
Next year Blake, I don't care what comes up you will be here. I'll learn to play a dolsomer if need be. And Stephen, I'll call you a tow truck. Sorry bout the bad luck
Well I know its a little late but my car is back up and running now, is it to late to show up? I hate that I missed the show, hell I even took vaction days off to be able to make it. But to me everything happens for a reason and this was one of those things, not forsure what the reason is yet but sure its something good. Will be there next year forsure even if it means I have to show up a day early to insure I make it.

Stephen if you want to come down I'll meet you at Autozone and we can cruise to all the spots you missed... I even have an award (best RPO code sticker)and door prize left over. Something tells me it wouldn't be quite as much fun without all the other people though...
I'm sure there was a reason too though, maybe just that you might have embarrassed Revin with how fast your car is and then he would be so ashamed he'd never speak to any of us again

She said as her bedding went from a nice comfy bed, bypassed the bathtub, to the dirty carpet........

Hey, if you can schedule this when I am not working, I can join in... Huh, that would be never as usual...
I rushed home to get 2-3 wiring harness done so I can work on my own darn wiring harness. It attaches to this...
