just a thought here... it been a while since ive heard anything about what cfogi is doing with the DVD. I had offered to talk with them a long while back and hadn't heard anything. After telling someone of the project today (memories) I got to thinking.... Maybe google Video is where this thing should be. could be free.. could be charged ... hmmmm

If no one is wanting to dulpicate the DVDs we can do that. Full color label, packaging, shrink wrap, all that a major distributor will want. Would love to see them be available.
if you are going to put it up on google might consider free, unless have worked out a deal with whoever released it, if it is copyrighted you might have a few issues if you charge for it and do not pay them their cut. If you post it for free not alot can be done.

since im the copyright holder... I mainly worked out a deal with cfogi giving them first dibs on selling it. since they seem to express no interest in it. i thought id make it available again.
Drop me an email please, because I've never seen the DVD myself...
Perhaps I was mistaken, but I always thought that was part of our agreement. I certainly never expected to have to pay CFOGi anything, which is why I didn't bother getting one from them...
Whatever you decide to do, I think I should have an opportunity to see the fruits of my labors, even if I have to pay $20 for it like everybody else.
Thank you!

Google video preview is flash powered. When you go to download a file you are REQUIRED to have Windows XP or Mac OSX (of course they only let you know about OSX if you ask). Some, just some of the free videos are flash, like news shows, etc. BRB with more info.....

Star Trek: Voyager - Season 1 - Heroes and Demons Paramount Pictures 45 min 53 sec - Apr 24, 1995 www.cbs.com « Back to video details Resume purchase » Sorry, purchasing this video requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
This has to do with DRM (digital rights management) crap that the TV and movie people are so up in arms about. If your video is in DVD format it is likely also burdened with DRM. To purchase you have to download and install a .exe file (Windows 2000/XP only, not even Windows 9X works) that installs a proprietary program which is DRM compliant. No .deb or .rpm files here!
My Fieros have better uses for $250 (Windows XP price for legal copy) than Bill Gates does.
Fieros and Linux have a lot in common: Safety, reliability, speed and power to name a few!

sastian: Fiero folks are good no matter what! Thats what the forum is about, sharing knowlege. The true EVILS in the world are birds (who do nasty things to Fieros) and Bill Gates and Co.
Google is a good idea in that it serves about 85 percent or so of the worlds population running XP. But soon, oh so soon, there are going to be a lot more operating systems out there. I have written Google about this issue before, and been ignored. For all their anti-Microsoft hype they still bend over for Billy Boy. A lot of that also has to do with CBS home video too!
