I've always been a fan of the Pontiac Honeycomb wheels. I've found a company willing to make them, and would probably get a better deal on them if more people were interested in getting them too. So, the question is, is anyone else interested in getting a set? Or am I alone on this one?

I had a set on my 71 Grand Prix that I restored and yes I think they are a great looking wheel but they are not like today's wheels. They had a steel rim with a reinforced rubber poly cast material in the center that made up the center of the wheel complimented with a stainless centercap and outer trim ring. I spent almost $450 a wheel to strip, repaint and obtain new trim.
You could actually take your fingers and flex the honeycombs.
Is the new company willing to make them like the old or would they be cast aluminum? I stilll have 1 I kept if they need a pattern.
I'd probably be a player depending on price but love the style and I think if you could get the appropriate center cap and trim they would look great on any Pontiac.

I had the honeycomb wheels on my '72 TA. The polycast honeycomb part was purely cosmetic - made onto the face of the steel wheel. Those wheels were HEAVY, though. A 15x7" wheel weighed about 30 lbs.
I'd be interested, depending on how much they cost, the sizes available and how much they weigh.
