Well, I bought an 84 last week and I was lucky enough to have a dad that would pick it up, and drive it all the way from Houston, to me in North Carolina. He got here Wednesday and I finally got to see the car in person. Thursday we went for a nice little cruise around the area and for me to get a feel for the car. We worked out the gas mileage and it gets just over 32 mpg. On our little cruise we stopped and took a couple pics:
Friday I drove dad to the airport and on the way back i noticed a little vibration that was getting a little worse but I thought it would make it back. Well, about 12 miles away it hit the climax, the vibration was terrible. It was like the tire was flat, but i pulled over to check. All around I had air, so I got back in and made a hop to the next stop, a little convenience store. Upon further inspection, I noticed there was a bubble under the tread that caused a seperation in the left front tire. I threw on the donut and limped back, where it is sitting and pouting over its injury. It looks so sad just sitting out there.
...48 hours and my problem child is already acting up. I knew something was going to happen in the first week. ------------------ "Semper Fiero"

Nice, looks like it's in great shape. My first Fiero was a black '85, very similar to yours. Most of the 84's I see are beaten up, it's great to see one that's been cared for.

Would you believe that it has a new engine with only 6500 miles on it, a CD player, new speakers, new seat covers, a new headliner, and all for only $1500? I couldn't believe it.

When I bought the car, it was considered in "as is" condition and the warranty is gone. Tomorrow my buddy is taking me to get 2 new ones for the front tires that both looked a little older.
Today I get in the car to start it up and the engine doesn't even turnover. There was no noise at all, but the guage lights and dome lights came on. Just more trouble from my new problemchild

Is this your first Fiero? Sounds normal to me. I bought an 88 base coupe in San Mateo (south of San Francisco) and it stalled at rush hour on the approach to the Bay Bridge (from SF to Oakland) and restarted only reluctantly. Par for the curse. Part of the adventure of buying a 23 year old sports car.
