I paid for a auto dimming mirror from Fieroeddie on 7/4/06 after numerous attempts to contact him cause I have not received the mirror I finally reported him to paypal and he finally responded with a tracking number for FedEx showing he shipped it on the 20th! 15 days after he told me he shipped it. Anyway... I go to the FedEx website to check the tracking on Thursday and it said it was scheduled for delivery on the 22nd (Saturday) After waiting at home all day Saturday for it to show it never came. I go back to the FedEx website and it now says the 25th!

I paid for a TIAC Tail Light from Sourmug on 7/14/06. He sent me a PM with the tracking info and I just tracked it. He mailed it on the 14th and as of the 20th it still has not even made it out of Canada! 6 days and it's still in Canada? Was it shipped strapped to the back of a snail?

I paid for a pair of the Dietmar Side Scoops from Fiero1fan on 7/3/06. He sent me a PM on 7/5/06 saying they were shipped. It has now been 19 days and they are still not here either.

I sold a item on ebay on 7/16/06 to a guy in Longwood, FL. 216 miles or 4 hours from me. He mailed me a check on 7/17/06 and I just got it today! 7 Days to make a 4 hour trip! I know he mailed it when he said he did cause the postmark on the envelope said the 17th. I even went to the post office and through a fit! 7 days to travel 4 hours is just uncalled for. The postal services need to take better care in making sure our packages arrive in a timely manner and safely. They keep raising the prices and the service keeps getting worse.

So far...nothing I have bought off this forum has made it's way into my hands.

I am just disgusted. No offense to Sourmug or Fiero1fan cause you 2 are out of the country and I know your packages have been sent in a timely manner. Fieroeddie is another story though. I am just really upset at how long it takes these days to get something delivered through the mail.

Nevermind me...I just needed to vent.

Hi I live in the Uk, I have bought from a few on the forum and plenty from the US and Canada in general.
I have found that usps service to this country is excellent on more than one occasion I had the parcel within 48 hours of shipping from the US.
The only problem I have had is from Austraila I bought a set of stage 2 scoops from aus on the 22nd of July 2005 as of yet this matter has not yet been resolved.
I have also bought an auto dimming mirror hopefully it will be with me soon.
Dont`t give up, just keep telling yourself it will be worth it when you eventually get to drive the car which has cost alot of sweat blood and MONEY.
Just wait till I ship my 3800sc from Lyode over here.

Hey Jimmy, any use for the box cutter today It's the 25th. I'm sure in time things will show up. I've had nothing but good luck when making purchases from the folks around here.
Have a nice day

They hate me I tell ya! Here is the new skinny on my auto dimming mirror from Fieroeddie.

I put a note on my apartment door today for the FedEx driver to leave the package at the complex office if no one was home. At noon I stopped by my apartment for a quick lunch. There was no sticker on my door to tell me that FedEx had been there so I got on the computer to check the status of the shipping. Low and behold it said that it was delivered and left at the door. Left at the door? Nothing was at my door! I went to the complex office and they said it wasn't there. OMG it was stolen? I could not believe it. My neighbor across the hall from me knocked on my door and asked me to read a box for him (he is blind). Upon reading the box it was my package! here is the weird part. Fieroeddie printed out my name and address on the top of the box. It was all correct. On the side of the box there was the sticker from FedEx and it had my neighbors name and address on it! WTF! See attached pictures.

Jim:

The Canada Post tracking seems to not be updated all that often. I have shipped packages that according to the tracking was still in Canada one day and then delivered to it's destination the next. It does take a fair bit of time for packages to go from Canada to the States and visa versa. It took more than 6 weeks for my F-I-E-R-O badge to arrive. I understand your frustration and have felt the same way on occasion. Have hope! It will arrive.

must a a phase of the moon or something, I have FIVE packages that UPS has lost and/or delayed in the past 5 days.
One was even a next day air package that was sent as a replacement for one of the lost ones, and they sent that one about eight states the wrong way!

Let me get this straight. You have problems with FedEx, Canada Post, and some unknown shipping service overseas, and you griped at the POST OFFICE? I can understand you being upset at a letter being delayed...but you have NO gripe with the Post Office over anything else you've posted here....we're not FedEx, we're not Canada Post, and we're not some unknown shipping firm from overseas.

Yeah....I'm a postal employee. And we've got a picture of YOU in the back office, stating that no matter where you're sending something to, or receiving it from, we've got orders to make sure it gets screwed up.....

Seriously....if you knew what it was like behind the scenes at the Post Office, you'd be amazed that you EVER get anything on time. We work hard to try and give the best service we can. Sometimes, we're blindsided by the screwed up computer software that is used to sort mail. Sometimes, it's the managers we have to work with. But we handle millions of pieces of mail everyday that arrive just as they should. Every now and again, a piece gets misplaced. It happens.

But don't blame us for the other guys goof ups. We don't have any control over that....

There a particular part about this that you don't understand? or is it just another "oversight" from the lovely USPS? I "did not" gripe to the USPS about the other stuff just the letter.

And if you actually took the time to read the title of the thread "ALL" postal services must really hate me, you would see that I am not just picking on the USPS. Oh wait...another "oversight" of the USPS

Be gone before I show you the true meaning of going postal!

no one's perfect.

UPS has the best tracking service and automatic $200 insurance. and really easy to get paid if there is a problem.
USPS is cheaper and a lot easier to use if I'm shipping out of the 48 states.

it's the damn customs people that have my pic in the back office with a note attached.

I fully agree that no one's perfect.

I am not judging the various postal services based on just what I have complained about on here. This has been a 6 yr battle with all the postal services.
All my problems with postal services started back on Oct. of 2000 when I decided to move to Florida. I shipped 6 packages (USPS) to my buddies house here in Florida right before I moved here. I insured all 6 packages. 5 of the packages showed up 3 days after I shipped them. The 6th package showed up 2 weeks later and it looked like they drug it from Ohio to Georgia then kicked it the rest of the way to Florida. This packaged had my scanner to my computer in it. I had placed a bunch of clothes in the bottom of the box then I put the scanner in the center and then more clothes on top. When the postman rang the doorbell with the package in hand, my first words to him were "what the hell happened to this box"? He said "don't know. I got it this way". I brought the box inside and opened it and sure enough the glass on the scanner was shattered. I took it to the post office to file a insurance claim. They made me leave the scanner and the box with them. 1 month later I get a letter in the mail about the claim. They said that they could not honor the claim cause I could not prove that the scanner was not broken before I shipped it! I went to the post office to raise hell and to also get the scanner back. They told me there was nothing they could do and that the scanner had been thrown away! They said when I left it with them that it became "their" property! They called the police cause I was furious and I was escorted out of the post office.

2 months later I bought a limited art print of Bettie Page that was signed by Bettie and the artist ($250). The person I bought it from shipped it USPS insured. They shipped it in a USPS triangle box and it was rolled inside. When it showed up the center of the box was crushed and so was the print! Here we go agin to the post office for "another insurance claim". Same old song and dance...they wanted me to leave it with them and wait for a investigation. Oh hell no! within a 10 week period I lost 2 insured items that the USPS refused to pay for. Never again will I pay for insurance from the USPS! 6 months later my father mailed me a check (USPS) to pick up some car parts here in florida I found for his 62 Impala SS Convertible. 3 weeks go by and the check never showed up. He sent me out another 1 and put a stop payment on the first 1. The second check showed up 3 days later with no problems. 6 weeks later the first check came back to him with a sticker on it that said it was undeliverable! He re-read the address on the envelope to me and it was correct. There have been numerous more delayed envelopes that took over 10 days to get to me. I won't go into detail on the rest of them cause I think you get the point.

Now on to UPS. First problem I had with UPS was that they would never leave the package if I wasn't home so I would have to drive to the UPS outlet to get them. Well I work and can't sit at home waiting for packages. My apartment complex has a front office and they will sign and keep packages there for the residents to pick up. Once I finally got the UPS people to understand that the office would accept the packages then they started to leave the packages at the office but wouldn't leave a notice on the door that they were there so the package would sit in the office for days. After convincing them to leave a notice on the door they went back to not leaving the package! OMG what is so hard to understand? Leave a notice on the door and the package at the office. Seems pretty simple to me.

Now FedEx. FedEx was the same deal as UPS with getting them to leave a notice on the door and the package at the office. Only difference was that the closest FedEx ground office is 45 miles from me in Ft. Myers! Would take 2 hours out of my night just to go pick up packages 2 times a week!

This may all sound trivial but I get on the average of 5 packages a week from various Postal carriers. At least 1/3 of the packages I receive come with complications. I understand that no one is perfect but the good to bad ratio is horrible!

this is getting pretty un-fiero related I guess, but I just read in the UPS newsletter today that the Louisville, KY hub sorts 300,000 packages per HOUR.
