Hmm most people can't answer questions about a car they blank checked.

These will not work on the Fiero due to space inside the fender and proper metal place to secure the dual struts. Today I had the installer review my car to install them. The quality is very good (thick & strong metal). The installer advised to get door kits with built in single struts not separate like the GT Factory kits.

Hmm. That's what Jerry told me over the phone regarding those types of struts. Not enough room on a Fiero. Although, I have to say, he'd never installed one on a Fiero but has only used DECAH. He also mentioned that he didn't like the "Pep Boy's" strut being used but preferred the single stronger struts.
Yes It work cause this is waht I have on My 1988 Fiero
Can you post some pictures of yours? I bet a lot of people would like to see them installed and hear how tough it was and any things you'd do different.

Please post pictures of your "GT Factory" install. Would be great if you can remove the fender and take some pictures too, but it maybe too much to ask. If this is a valid install I will order the parts and have them installed and video record the install so everyone can DIY or DIY w/ help.
This is the kit that I just got in the mail, today. I might be taking the hinges, over to the body shop this weekend. wheather pending. I am excited to see how these fit. I was told by the company that they will fit the Fiero. Mine are a weld on style hinge. 90* opening. If I go to the shop this weekend, I will be sure to get photos.
Here are some pic (GT Factory hinges) that I took this past Wednesday... The theme of the car is Blues Clue.... (No it's not my 5 y/o car.. She doesn't have a drivers license yet ) I have too pull my fender to see where the strut can be secure. I think these should fit a Fiero wide body.
Under the front fender shot of the struts. They are long... aprox in the middle of the fender.

If installing those hinges made my Fiero look like that I'd be there
Reading those 'instructions' they seem a liitle too general. Bit like describinh how to build an aeroplane by saying "attach wings to fusalage". Leaves too much up to the installer.

Sure glad you know how to read. I think the struts would hit due to the length, the hinges are adjustable in several points. But this idea (even if it hits the fender) is more credible then waiting for your ghost hinge.

Love the look but think I'll wait !
If you review the instructions and post properly they don't state this. I was thinking "WHAT IF" and you place the hinges lower.... "WHAT IF".

Sorry, for now I dont have any but I will have as soon as I'll take my Fiero out the garage for the Winter... Thanks If you have any question: fierogtrouge@hotmail.com J-P
They look much better then the scissor/gullwing doors... Open straight up and much easier to get in and out. Please post video and close up pics. I love to see where the struts are placed.

Even without the video I can tell you that these doors don't open straight up. That would be impossible on a stock Fiero body. You can see by the design of the hinge that they swing out and up like all the others. Maybe just don't swing out as much. I prefer more outward swing that way you can use them like regular doors when you don't want to attract attention.

Your right... but there is a major difference from the other doors...
