I stumbled across the movie with probably the most time I've ever seen a Fiero on the screen.
It's called The Favor (1994). Stars Harley Jane Kozak, Elizabeth McGovern, Bill Pullman and a young Brad Pitt. Decent romantic comedy and the Fiero is shown prominently for about 5 minutes. Unfortunately it's driven by a dork/geek played by Larry Miller. It's a repainted red aero car with tan interior and sunroof. I can't tell what year since it doesn't have a rear view mirror which would tell me if it was a 85GT or a third brake light which would say it was an 87 so I'm guessing 85GT or 86SE. It has the 14" with the accent done in red and the wipers are also painted car color. Anybody recognize/remember this car? The movie is currently on Encore On Demand in my area. This is one sequence of a scene where they're following the wife. Pics taken off the TV screen.

I don't know the car, but I can add that 86's had the center brake light, so it's either and 85GT or (I don't even want to say it...) a repainted Indy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's an 85 GT. Like said above, no third brake light, and the tan interior and not the 2 tone grey and red Indy Interior (Thank god!)

It is a V6 so it was either 85-86. The mirror changed sometime in 86 to a back/forward from side to side change of day/night. I don't know when the 3rd brake light was added in the 86 production run.

The center high mounted stop light (CHMSL) was a requirement for all cars sold in the US starting in the 1986 model year, so all 86's should have them.

I love to see Red Fieros in the movies!

I've never seen an '85 with a CHMSL, but they were required starting with '86 model year.

Edit, I must be bored aa I went and read the text of Federal Motor VEhcile Safety Standards, No. 108 which regulates lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment. The law stated that:

S5.1.1.27 (a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section,
each passenger car manufactured on or after September 1, 1985, and each
multipurpose passenger vehicle, truck, and bus, whose overall width is
less than 80 inches, whose GVWR is 10,000 pounds or less, manufactured
on or after September 1, 1993, shall be equipped with a high-mounted
stop lamp

I didn't check for Canadian or European requirements, I'm not that bored.

Ha... I got you all beat... :-)
Total on screen time to date for my car was 7 hours and 45 min.
It helps a lot that it was a project buildup car for Motorsports Unlimited TV show,,,

Brief scene of a red gt fastback parked outside of a hotel is made mention of by a guy who has caught another guy cheating with his wife in a movie called "Lies and Alibis."
