This is a reminder that North Texas Mustangs has invited us to be the 'Club of Honor' at their monthly Cruise Night at the Cracker Barrel in Lewisville. NTMC has had several major local clubs featured in their cruise nights, most recently a bunch of 4x4 rockcrawling enthusiasts. So it is a very diverse group, and there will be a lot more than just Mustangs there. I hope that NTFC is able to give a good showing of ourselves, and have at least as many cars there as we did for the large AER car show in May. As a matter of fact, it was that showing that led to this invite. Here's a link to previous Cracker Barrel Cruise Night photos: http://www.ntmc.org/Photos/index.html
Now the particulars: Registration is at 1700 and is $10 Trophies at 2030 NTFC will be judged in its' own class Map: http://www.mapquest.com/map...wy&city=Lewisville&s tate=TX&zipcode=75067&phone=972%2d436%2d6813&spurl=0&&q=Cracker%20Barrel&qc=%28All%29%20Restaurants
It does not matter if you've got bad paint (me), no headliner (Bryan), dirty (James), primer (Tom), not running v8 (Jeff), or not even Fiero (Tim)... just come. I am sure we will consume beverages of choice and regale each other with car lies at a nearby Taco Cabana (or somesuch) afterwards.
----------------------------
2nd part is, the night before the show on the 14th, many of our motor swapped cars will be running at Ennis for a Street Legal Open night. It is my understanding that there will be no bracket or king of the mountain racing... just run what you brung and get some practice passes. I am sure that Steve, Stephen, Daniel, and Amber are going to be running. I will be in the stands spectating... I've had 50 or so stock 2.8 auto blipping the lights at 16.5 and 89mph passes to want anymore. But if you other members have never officially drag raced, you should... just for the experience.
Steve has done some mods to his 3800sc since last he ran. Stephen wants to see what he can do with drag radials. Daniel has a fresh 3800 install he wants to ring out. Amber has a 3.4DOHC with underdrive pulley's.
If I can get the company back up and running after the disaster of the buiding collapsing under all the rain, I will be there in the Indy for the show.
I give it a 99% chance of me being there....I need a break from the stress.

I hope this rain holds off for the event out in Ennis but from looking at past month, its not looking good for us. Will be at both events if they go on.

John your going racing? What does the 4 banger run in the 1/4? Yeah anyway I'll be at the race and the show even though I hate those Decepticon Mustangs.

Who said anything about me racing (even though my 4 banger did pretty well at the oval track. Remember?.
Anyway, the Friday night activity is out for both me and my stepson. We will both be at the show to swell the numbers of Fieros attending by 2. See you all there.
How about Bass Pro Shops off of 121? It looks like you can then just get on 121, take it to 35E and down (up) just a bit to Lewisville. (NOTE: I am not certain if 121 is a true 'freeway' at this point, or just a wide road with a bunch of lights)
-or-
Fry's off of 635 & Beltline... then over to either 121 (see above note) or 35E
-or-
Pappa's... & then take 35E to Lewisville.
Richard Rogers (Mustang Club) said that most cars start arriving at 1630, and he expects at least 50. As the weather has been so bad lately, he surmized there might be more if it stays nice. The event is RAIN or SHINE

Papa's is the least convenient for me personally but the other sites are the least convenient, I think, for most others. So, I vote for Papa's @1600 to 1610 hrs (or as we used to say, when Mickey's big hand is on the 12 and his little hand is on the 2, we leave Papa's for the show).

Hehehehehehehe,
OOOOOPs, I can't tell time that way either - my Mickey watch is broken (oh well, it is right twice a day, though). I guess his little hand should be on the 4 and the big hand on the 2!

I'll be coming from the north so I'll have to meet you somewhere near Cracker Barrel.. The place is on the southbound service road a little bit (maybe a mile+-) north of business 121. (If you come up SH121) IIRC there are 5 or 6 lights on Bus.121 between SH121 and I-35. Haven't been up the section of SH121 to I-35 since it was "completed" and the toll booths set up.
Need to know what time you expect to get there so I can join you. Probably will wait around the adjacent motel.
Dave

Daniel, I have to get there earlier than 6. I understand that maybe you can't becuase of work schedule, but I plan on being at Pappa's around 4:15-4:30... and then leaving at 4:45. That should get us into CB a little after 5. I feel compelled to do this because the organizer is trying to block us off a section together... and it would be easier if he had some cars there
Anyway, I just talked to him, and registration is open until 7... so you will still have plenty of time. You may not be too big on the shinies, but I think the earlier you get there, the more votes you garner... you know how people are, check out what is there, make a decision, usually not go back and see if anything else showed up, and drop it in the box when you're done. ( <--- that's the way I am, anyway).... and if you're done by 5:30... then any car after that, won't get that possible vote... but again, That is only if one is interested in awards. I just wanted to hang out witchya'll and hope that we have good account of our club.

Familiar with I-20 and Cooper... isn't 30 and Cooper near Six Flags? Shouldn't be a problem at all.
it's a couple miles west of six flags. i'm in between I-20 and I-30, and between bowen and cooper. there's a Tom's Hamburger restaurant at I-30 and cooper that we can meet at 4:00 should take us about 30 minutes to get to Pappa's.

A "new" member - not even a PFF name yet, hehehehe. His "matchbox" car as it was immediately named by the others at the show:
NTFC members doing what they do best ---------- NOTHING!
Thanks to CadillacSlim (and his son) of this forum for travelling from Houston to look at a V8 fiero (he is building a 4.9). Sorry no V8s showed up. Lots of 3800sc s, though.
Congratulations to the show winners in every class - especially the Fieros.
