Well, Michael (my son) worked hard this summer to earn money for things he wants to do to his 87 GT and the first thing he ordered was a set of Kris Munson's lights. They arrived today, and as so many people have pointed out before, his careful packaging of everything is really impressive.
We are looking forward to installing them this weekend. Does anyone have any tips or advice on installing them? (the instructions are great, but I still wouldn't be able to find my way out of a paper bag without assistance). I have found that it is always best to see if any one who has done something before has any advice to give.
I installed his lights and just followed his directions. Took me about an hour to install them. His directions are pretty cut and dry and I don't see or have an extra tips to give you. You should be fine just with his directions. 1 thing I would suggest though is buying a set of driving lights to install into the bumper somewhere. Kris's lights are great but you will notice a void of light about 10 to 15 feet in front of the car before the light actually hits the ground. The driving lights will fill in the void nicely.
Good luck and remember to post pics after they are installed.

My best advice when it comes to your Fiero is to "NOT" do any dealings with www.kitcarman.com
I have a set on my formula and they look great and are easy to install. Take your time and read the instructions. The only thing I can say is get some driving lights for your car. You loose a bunch of your beam from them.

Ditto on driving lights. I took my hood off and had easier access to the front of the car. I believe I was replacing the radiator at the time I got the lights Nice look. won't be driving in the winter time. as snow would be a problem.

Tim or anyone else that has bought Munson lights. Does he advertise these lights anywhere or do you just get his e-mail and contact him about them? Thanks, Mike

I just emailed him and let him know that we were interested in getting a set. He is busy with his "real" job and sometimes took a day or two to return my emails, but he has been GREAT to deal with. No complaints at all.

He only makes them in his spare time, but well worth the wait. I had a set on my '86 GT and agree on the 10' of light needed from the front of the car going out.
You will need to paint the fiberglass panels and don't overtighten the lexan

I emailed Kris and let him know that we were interested in a set. He was WONDERFUL to deal with. The lights are not his main job, and you have to be patient with him, as he makes them in hsi spare time, but the work is WELL worth it. NO COMPLAINTS on our set.
