I like the look, but isn't it inconvenient to print out a new display every time a value changes??
I'm being silly, of course, anything looks better than stock. But I would build a whole new pod, or better a whole new dash to put those autometers in.

WHOA, bingo! I'm only putting the autometers in the fiero cluster until I can get the parts together for the 300GT swap. you beat me to the punch with that pic...you wouldn't happen to have the template of the 3000gt cluster? looks awesome. any of the whole interior? maybe sitting back a bit so i can get a drivers eye view of the autometers in the dash?

lol...
if I had the fiberglassing skills of the guy that did the piranha (and versions thereof) I'd definitely make a one off dash...and body while I was at it. but my skills and budget are limited...

I did a thread on it if you look it up but apologize that all the pics are gone from it. Here a couple of when I did it even though the gauges have been moved around. I will post a current pic of it tomorrow for you.
I picked up the dash at a junk yard and had to take it out of the car myself for a $100.00 . It was from a 1993 I believe. Thanks, Chris

I like the idea. But I think there is too much going on. It'll be distracting trying to check all the gauges while driving. The light from the gauges might be over powering at night, as well.

Ha, you think thats too busy, not. Now mine is busy
I am doing the same project with VDO Cockpit Royale gauges now. I have a thread going in the Technical Discussion & Questions section. I am going to move over here, more people.
I plan to put the Speedo and Tach top center then two gauges top corners the other two lower inside. The problem I am having is what to use for idiot lights. jscott1 told me remember "Don't forget to have the light to excite your alternator if your alternator requires it. "
The drawing is not real good but correct to scale.
Different layout one
Layout two
I think I like layout two. I am trying to get the retro look Ed

I prefer the speedo and tack up high like you have and option one is better for the secondary gauges...I sit low in the seat and I wouldn't be able to see them down low.

I just sent back my VDO gauges to Summit because VDO does not make a set in white with 0 -90 ohm fuel gauge. I ordered Auto Meter White with 0-90 ohm fuel gauge. Now I won't have siemen in my car.

I'm curious about the blackened idiot lights. Do you have a pic of what they look like "lit up" after the painting process?
Very hard to take a photo of a lit bulb. This is the best I can do.
The light looks normal when lit up just like nothing was done to it. The paint is special for this purpose, kids use it to paint their tail lights black. http://store.summitracing.c...700+115&autoview=sku
