It's that time of year again. Saturday April 19 2008 , "Gates" open 8 AM , Judging - noon(ish), Trophies awarded 3 PM
We had a huge response for 2007. Each year we have had more Fiero's come. Our cars are getting noticed in this show. Fiero's have done very well in this open car show in past years. We blew the single car type record off the chart, there still talking about it !
Last year it was 27 Fiero's. It was fantasic !
Here's some links from the past years. Please think about comming. Contact me for more info.
Directions to the show, using MapQuest , address for the Best Western Hotel located right next to the park.
300 West Esplanade , Punta Gorda Fl 33950
From I-75, take exit 170 , follow into town. Cross Rt 41 , turn right on Taylor rd , left on West Esplanade, follow to show. ( There will be plenty of signs )
Here's an aerial shot, I've outlined the park in red.

There are a lot of work-in-process projects here. Also a few show-shy. Clem is the only one that participates in everything. But that weekend there is a Broward (I think) Pontiac show that few use to go so they may prefer the local show. I prefer the drive

Hey, what route will you take? I75? I'm leaving from Palm Beach Come up and cross thru Okeechobee lake and we can drive toguerther. It is a more interesting drive than the other one. Let me know if interested
I live two blocks from the show. If you'd like to drive the last two blocks together, I'd be fine with that !! ( sorry, I just found that funny)
There might be a few driving from that area.
(b.t.w., this is the correct posting for this years show)

The local AACA club has been holding this show for 34 years.
My first year attending was in 1998. It was my very first show. The class I was in included late model cars, 78 on up.
To my surprise, my car took 1st place, I couldn't believe it. Since then, each year, we have been getting more Fiero's showing up. Every year a Fiero has won the class.
Last year, 2007, We put on a "show with-in a show", Invited all the Fiero's in.FL to come. I bought the trophies, and judged the show. We had 27 Fiero's show up !! It was the best attendance yet. We handed out 21 trophies.
Not sure how big this years show will be, with the price of gas, but I'm hoping it will be a large amount.
The best part about going to a Fiero show is spending time with fellow owners. Each owner has a story to tell and a car to be proud of.
About registration fees, I hoping the club won't be collecting any, if they do, should only be 10 bucks. Usually they collect money on Sunday, because we are setting up on Saturday, we should be free.
We set up verious classes , stock, modified, rebodied to repowered. The rules are relaxed, so if someone has a stock car, with a radio swap, would still be stock. Some other trophies are for best stock paint, best repaint, best interior and others.
Here's more shots from last year.
Using GKDINC's (Gary) car as a reference point you can see the line of Fiero's to Gary's right
And now to Gary's left
Here is a rear shot of the cars parked behind the front row
And a front shot of those cars.

As I mentioned to you I do it for the excuse of driving my car. I work from home so I have very few chances like this to escape alone Also there will be other hot cars to look there. I probably have seen the Fieros showing many times before. Weather seems to be awesome so I can't miss it

Just wanted to say Thanks to Dave for putting on the show yesterday, and to everyone else for attending. I believe the car count was 11. Hope everyone had a great time. Gary

This is the best show I have attended in a long time. The setting is awesome. All cars on the grass (instead of hot parking lot), beautiful bay view with sea breeze, great afordable food and great people and high quality cars. Dave was great with a lot of goodies. Thanks a lot! I'll be there next year

Thanks for the good words. I'd hoped things would have gone a bit smoother with the hosting club. We will certainly arrange any future shows better so we have our own class. The hosting club got an ear full from me after the show. - more on that later.
I big thanks to Dave and Paul for putting it together. I had a great time. It was a pleasure to get to meet some new people and also hang out with others I already knew.
