What was your 60ft on that last run?!? That was an insane launch. That's a really good mph too. I can imagine that you must have been feeling great after that.
60' on the last pass was 1.61. Ive figured out how to make a bunch of boost on the line . Im going to share my braking secret pretty soon.
It was a wild ride. I logged the last pass and the guy that does my tuning says there is a lot more time to be knocked off. I guess at 33 mph the car actually slowed back down to 29, then plained out and then started accelerating again. Not sure what exactly happened, but that could be a .1 right there. He says we could be at 10.50 by next weekend with just tuning.
It has been a long time coming X and congratulation on a great feat , I am a V8 guy and much love to you man as for (DarkHorizon ) please just shut up until you can show us a video of your car at the track.

Congradu-friggin-lations BUD! Bought flippin' time. But I have a few issues: You took 4 tries to do it You didn't back it up with another 10 sec run No wheel stand!!!
Get those issues resolved, and THEN I will be happy.
Just f**kin with you! So happy for you and what it means for the 3800 Fiero community!

Nice runs and glad to see you hit the goal you have been trying to reach for many years. Have to give you props for sticking with it thru all the problems and break downs. If the car is in the 10s in this heat then just think what it will do once it cools off. And DH--Shut Up!!!

Thanks everybody! Good times. Cant wait to get a few more things tweaked on it and get it back out there.
And yeah, last nights air sucked big time. It was hot and we were at 3800 feet. I think this car is good for a 10.50 @ 130 the way it sits right now. Ive also been thinking about a new cam, T04Z turbo, and twin walbro's, 96# injectors and E85. I bet it goes 9's.
I was pretty impressed with fieroX's runs yesterday. He was consistent and methodical with what he was doing. The car had no issues, he started out on low boost for his high 11 sec pass and then carefully added boost and adjusted the fueling a tad to get to the 10.90. Like he said the density altitude and weather in general was absolutely not desirable for drag racing but he still pulled it off. I am the guy helping with his tune and honestly, the car has a LOT more in it. like he said it kinda flat lined around 5600 rpm in first gear where he actually dropped 4 mph yet still managed 127 in the 1/4. If we spend a little time with the tune and get it out in good weather I am confident it will go faster. I also think the engine is far from where it could be. He has home ported heads, a home-made exhaust / turbo setup, a home-made intake, and seems to have some sort of fuel delivery issues. We saw the car make solid and good improvements on the dyno up to 17 psi of boost but after that it had issues with fuel delivery. I'll say it here and now, in good weather, with better heads and cam, and the fueling issue worked out this car will go 9s.

Way to go Ryan, its about time someone else has the bullseye on there back. Its been over 2 1/2 years that I've had it on mine. You deserve it with all the work and headaches you have endured. It just goes to show what can be accomplished when you stick to it. "GREAT JOB" not many people know what it takes to make a car to go that fast and then do it.

man i wish i had someone to tune my car :P i'm glad to hear that there's some left. i'd hate for i to be that easy for me ha ha i'm don't giving you crap man. you did an awesome job.
edit for fuel pump. quit using the walbro. try the bocsh 044 pump. flows over 300lph@70psi. it takes some effort to get in the car, but it's well worth it.

Question: What is the light/sparks below the right tailight after you cross the finish line on your last run? Did something fall off? Now the analysis begins:wink:

I think that is fireballs coming out my exhaust. I left it in 3rd and you know how it winds down real quick, well i need to do some work to my de-acceleration enleanment settings. Im going like 12.2:1 under de-acceleration from those speeds. The fireballs stopped when i shifted it to OD and started hitting the brakes. Weird that it didnt do it in the earlier passes though.
[edit, meant to say earlier, not faster. oops]
