This fiero is local to me, its been a couple years since i seen it, but it has been sitting for MANY MANY years.

as far as i know, i was told it had the engine rebuilt with a basic performance rebuild, ported heads/intake, and a cam installed, nothing else was done, id expect it to be around 150HP at the wheels.

the brakes will all need replaced as well as the rotors, and probably the fuel pump or ignition related items.

it is a formula t-top car though, so im sure its worth something to someone, but keep in mind its been sitting for atleast 5+ years and i have no idea of its rust situation, in WV most of the car's have alittle rust in the trunk and battery tray but are normally fine otherwise, but its always a gamble, ive seen some with complete rot through on the frame rails and cradles.

Already been covered here. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/072075.html

Providing the spaceframe isn't rusted out, an 88 T-top chassis is definitely worth what he's asking, and is a prime candidate for an engine swap, body swap etc. It doesn't even matter if the engine is junk. I've seen a cut-off T-top roof sell for more.

"...This engine REQUIRES minimum 20W-50 oil to maintain pressure because of the clearances the engine builder decided to use,..."

HUH? the engine builder decided to use worn crank bearings?

Ya, I wanted to say the same thing....

I don't think we call that an engine rebuilder...

No, apparently you can make more power if you dont put the bearings in, and run jello for oil.

I use 5w50 in everything. Even after first oil change in a new engine. Never had a problem, never had a spun or burned bearing.

Wow this just sucks. A Fiero close to me and isn't mine. I remember in 2002 seeing this car and it had sat for at least 3 years or so outside near a creek. It was down the road from where the FedEx was flooded in 2003. I heard it was moved before then. So yeah it has sat for sometime. I talked with the owner once. I don't remember him saying anything about the headlights. The state inspection isn't that strict here I'd just say he didn't try. If anyone get's it and wants me to store it at my home I can. I'll offer that much to someone who is bidding on it. If I could come up with the money I'd buy it myself. I live less than 5 miles from this car. I could go take better pictures also.

i just helped the new owner unload the car, and while i think the car was well worth what was paid, i dont think anyone more than 100 miles away would have been happy at all with what they saw when they looked the car over well.

im happy to say the brakes appeared to work properly though.
