I have been told by quite a few people that my 1986 Sport Coupe has the wrong bumpers, I have been told that there were no Bumper Pad Fieros in 86....if I remember right there were, and the spoiler is not factory by any means the risers are not seperate pieces the spoiler and risers are all one fibergalss piece. I can tell from the holes drilled under the deck lid that it was added after the fact, maybe a dealer option? The VIN pulls up as an 86, it has also always been in Oklahoma, it was bought here and owned here. So what kind of spoiler do Ihave? Also was my car converted to bumper pads? Here are the pics.

84-86 was bumper pad ribbed molding years.
87-88 went to the sleeker bumpers with rounded molding like the formula.
86 and 87 SE's had the aero nose with ribbed molding like the 84 indy and the 85 GT.
Then of course the 86-88 GT's had the aero bumpers with rounded molding.

I don't immediately recognize the spoiler.

(edited to make more legible and add that I didn't recognize spoiler)

The spoiler is an aftermarket fiberglass replacement, I believe it is made by the fiero warehouse. I have the same one on my formula. I like it a lot.

Spoiler came from JC Whitney or similar aftermarket store. I had one on an 86 SE.

edit: he beat me to it.

See I thought bumper pads were used through 86, thanks for the clarification.

I have that same type of spoiler on my car since i bought it from the 1st owner in 99. I never knew it was aftermarket until a local club meeting pointed it out.

Frustrating.

The electric fuel pump in the back just doesn't wanna work and the mechanical fuel pump in the front is leaking like crazy. I'm actually heading up to AutoZone now to get some more stuff for it.

It's not a collector car or true classic etc, jsut a Fiero so it don't really mater if it's orig or not. Only thing that counts is if you like whatever it is that's on the car.
