The color is Lamborghini "Arancio Borealis" (Orange Pearl) Applied over TranStar catyalized white primer / sealer. I know Alex was apparently the first to use this color on his wide body, but I have loved this color even before seeing his amazing car several years ago. Call it "imitation being the sincerest form of flattery", or just plain "copy-cat" , I'm just thrilled with the way my 87' GT looks right now. I wasn't going to unveil it until Daytona next week, but it's looking so good, (to me at least), that I had to share it early.

I can't take credit for this paint job. This is custom painter Billy Kidd of "Tricked-Out Customs" He did a phenomenal job on my car. Here he is touching up some small areas of paint.
After he de-bagged the car Bily made sure that every tiny nook and cranny was right.

Nice custom paint job. How come when I see it, all I can see is the color of money, GREEN? Very nice.
Ron
It's not so much the color of money as it is the black and blue color I'll be after Billy beats the hell out of me if I scratch of nick anything reassembling the car.
Actually, considering the mess I would have made out of this car had I tried to paint it, "She Who Must Be Obeyed", (my wife), was kind enough to allow me to spend some of *my* annual bonus on having someone who knows what they are doing paint the car. Somehow I think she has the rest of my bonus already spent, and it has absolutely nothing to do with my Fiero
Randy the car looks great! I was worried by you heading as I know you had problems with you car previously. Once I opened the thread I was releaved you had just repainted it vs somethin horrable happening. I'm also glad you choose that orange...why you might ask ? ..........because I'm fixin' to paint my 86SE orange also. I just bought the paint this afternoon. No worries though mine will be a solid. john

John I wouldn't worry even if you decided to paint yours the exact same color as mine I was talked out of going with orange when I first built the car and I compromised with the yellow. I liked the yellow just fine, but the Lambo pearl orange is what I always really wanted.
Just a tip for you if I may, Use a white primer sealer before shooting your orange paint. Oranges and yellows all seem to have such thin coverage that if you shoot it over a gray base it won't have that vibrant "snap" to the color like it will over white.
Yup! I have all their music going back to the beginning. Been a fan of Tangerine Dream a long time, so I thought it would be appropriate as a name for my car
