Alright. I wish I had taken "Before" pictures. But I didn't. Sorry. I can tell you, however, that when I started on this car (Before it was even mine) it was 3 different colors, missing lots of the trim and one of the headlights, and the interior smelled like the animals that had been living in it for a few years. There were also several pairs of moldy underwear in the trunk. Oh yeah.

Here is the not yet finished (But well on its way) product, about 4 months later. I have installed: New windshield, much of the trim, new headlight door, many coolant system parts, including a switch wired into the fan relay and up under the dash to manually toggle the cooling fan on and off. New radiator as well. I am working on an engine pretty-up job. It is in the initial stages, but is already showing promise, especially considering the engine WAS very gritty with rust all over many parts and the entire thing was covered in baked on grease. The engine has been degreased once, and I have some Black Magic doing its thing right now to get rid of the really nasty stuff. I had a coat of it sit all night as well, so I'm looking forward to the results. Here are some pictures of the car in its current state. I hope they aren't too big. And I hope the code works..

I have posted direct links because I am unaware of how to post pictures directly into a thread. If anyone has an easy way to do it, let me know.

They weren't MY underwear. lol.

I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible. The only thing I want to do to it is stick some 16" wheels on it. Haven't done too much research on the subject. I have some really cool 16" wheels lying around, though. Is it possible without mods and wheel well damage when I hit bumps?

You just need to run a lower profile tire than you would with smaller rims. The 16" tire will/can be the same diameter/height as the old ones then. a 215/50/16 is pretty damned close to the same diameter.

Car looks great!

On posting pics directly into the thread, when you open the photo in Photobucket you'll see four links on the right side. Copy the one encased in [IMG][/IMG] tags and past it in your reply box. They'll pop right up.

You actually have stock Fiero wheels, but they were put on '84 models. My old '84 had them when I got it. They're actually getting a bit harder to find, considering many Fieros came with the 'Tech 4' style wheels. I think a nice upgrade for your car would be some staggered wire lace wheels from a GT or a Formula if you're wanting to keep an original look.

I guess my 87 does have some 84 parts in it. Strange.

I just bought a BRAND NEW set of 88 Fiero GT wheels in Gold for next to nothing. They have literally never had a tire mounted on them. I'm tempted to use them...but I suspect the things may be worth a pretty penny. Does anybody know what those wheels are worth? I hate to use them if they're particularly valuable, as money is tight at the moment with college expenses.

I also bought 12 headlight motors from the guy for 10 bucks a piece. 7 are working. I'm looking into getting some gauge clusters from him, too, and he quoted me 20 a piece. I guess he has about 12 junkers lying around and wants to part them out a bit before he scraps them. Lucky me. If anybody needs headlight motors or gauge clusters, I'll have them next Sunday.

Anyone have any idea what those GT wheels are worth? Before I sell them I want to have an accurate idea of what a fair price is. And if you tell me they're not worth much, I'll have to get a second opinion before I sell them to you
