I'm confused as to why the middle large-belt-pulley is smooth instead of ribbed, if the ribbed side is the side touching it? Also, where does one procure such belts and pulleys?

Cool project Is there a pic of the front with the body panels on? Curious how those lower lights look with paneling.

How does it get the power to the wheel? I see it has a chain drive but what kind of transmission does it use?

WOW ! just WOW ! Is he going to leave the back glass out? That would sound good that close to your head. With my luck i'd sling a belt and an ear. Is there a link to a build page on what was done to the strut towers and cradle.

It uses the '67 Toronado transaxle. I will be posting pics of the car every couple of days until it is completed and on the trailer
to head for Pontiac, MI.
If you want to see what it looks like in primer, you can see it on my page http://www.fierocountry.us

The only thing I don't like about that setup is that it appears the exhaust dumps in front of the rear tires. If that engine ever decides to let loose and oil comes through the exhaust, you can say good bye to traction and hello to the guard rail.

The green coupe is Wally's 88 Formula that he bought up in Ohio. It was red when he brought it down.
He's known on here as PapaFiero ...

MY GAWD! Some serious re enineering went into that car. Looks like a whole new engine cradle, rear suspension, the front suspension looks different espeicially the control arms, and the fire wall behind the seats was removed and re designed. Wouldn't have jus been easier putting the engine up front and tubbing it? I mean theres hardly any room for the driver because the engine is sticking into the passenger compartment. What kind of tranny is it? From a Porsche? With all the mods looks like you could be expecting like 8's in the quarter but I would suspect you would need bigger tires and some wheelie bars.

That's pretty outrageous! Looks like a lot of money went into that car. It sure looks awesome. Is it just for show or will it be run on a track?

How does the operator expect the radiator(s) to work well with them pointed completely out of the airflow? There is a high pressure area above them due to the stock radiator blocking airflow.. doesn't seem like any of that is going to work very well.

There are fans on top of the intercoolers to assist with the air flow.

What altitude will he be cruising at? I would have loved to see this car in the movie Heavy Metal instead of the Corvette
