A caddy 575 in a fiero. . How can it be done!?

What's a "caddy 575" ?
I'm aware of Cadillac V8 engines in 425, 472 and 500 cubic inches, but I've never heard of a 575.

dident caddy make a V12 or somthing like that?

Cadillac has made both V12 and V16 engines in the past.

I saw an elecamno with a 575. It was MEAN. I'm pretty sure its a v8. I dunno I just want one in my fiero

I think threads with the subject of "this would be a sweet swap" should be instant ban.

It would be sweet. I didn't want to post it in build because its not a build. Its just an idea.

bah. its an idea thats being thrown around. im sure that if the forum had been around there would have been a thread *hey could we do a 3800SC swap into these things? it would be frickin sweet!* or something along those lines. idea has to be there before the swap can be done.

You can't start threads directly in build anyway. What tranny would you mate to that 575?

Why should members who post ideas about a swap be instantly banned? Everyone is allowed to have ideas and there are engines that nobody ever thought would be in a Fiero. Don't knock the guy just because he had an idea.

lol, id pay quite a large sum of money just to see a Fiero with the 1000hp v16 from a Cadillac Sixteen (my favorite car 8D) lol

There are at least 4 different ways you could do it, but why? An LSx swap will make far more power on any given budget, and with less of that destructive torque. Plus getting the LSx to be technically legal is doable, and it'll get 10 times the MPG of a 575.

I don't think its about power. Kinda like the BMW V12. Doesn't make gobs of power, but the cool factor is unquestionable! I say do it, and tell the rest of us how it can be done!

gawd this thread is old. I still want to see someone swap in a 575. Is there any reason why a sbc can be swapped and have a super charger sticking out sideways? Kinda how the 3800sc sits but a hole in the decklid with a charger sticking out.

Possible, but would look stupid and what would you use for a transmission - a 4T60E??
