I know this is a bit late in coming ~ but throwing it out there anyway!
MFF's Annual "Summer Drive In" Car Show is once again returning to Wagner's Drive In.
The Ramada/Gran Rios is the host hotel ~ and is located directly across the street from Wagner's. There was a block of special rooms reserved for $79/night, but I believe they have been released back to the general reservation pool ~ but it's a great place to stay (we're even staying there Friday night to avoid an extra trip back & forth)! There is local shopping & a car wash nearby.
We'll be having a dinner for all the out-of-town guests (and any locals that want to show up) at the Host Hotel Restaurant (The Beach House Bar and Grille) at 7pm. Meet in the hotel lobby.
Saturday's show will go as follows: 9am - Registration Opens @ Wagner’s Drive-In $20 per Car - 6 Classes w/Trophies & Special Awards 11am - Car Show Voting Begins 1pm - Car Show Voting Ends Turn in your Ballets @ Registration 2pm - Awards Presentation 3pm - Depart for BBQ @ Shawn Yoraway’s (Purple Reign)
Be sure to bring your swimming gear - as the hotel has an awesome pool & waterpark, as well as the Pool at Shawn's house!
Looking forward to seeing everyone there. I know we'll have some of the "Regulars" from Wisconsin stopping by (The Prezzz, Tom Schmidt, maybe Joe Kiwak). I also hear that the forum-famous painter "Firefox" and his wife Kristie are planning to come up from Milwaukee, and Gerry Goodwin from Indiana is planning to make the trip!
We'll be heading up this afternoon ~ looks like we may have a light shower passing through the area 1st thing tomorrow morning, but then it should clear off to be a nice (& warm) day!

I will probably show up and hang out for a while, even though Tom will be there As long as he promises to take Farve back to Wisconsin with him we will get along okay.. lol..
Doh! Don't you just hate that... it's what seems to keep us all from having more fun! You were missed... always good to see the people that surface a little more rarely (*cough* DSlice) Joel - do you have plans for Car Craft Weekend? (7/17-19) Maybe we'll see you then!
Despite the weather (big rain moved through overnight & into the morning - followed by scattered showers most of the early part of the day ~ thankfully it had cleared off quite nicely for the BBQ) we had a decent turnout. There were just shy of 25 cars that took part in the show with a total of just over 30 floating around the show.
I'm sorting through pics now... hoping to have some up shortly!

Unfortunately I was one of the few people to get to see Jerry Goodwin's "White Knight" 3800SC GT. His fuel pump failed about 100 miles short of the show site (his trip was just over 600 miles each way) - but he managed to limp it all but the last 10 miles or so.
Kev doing his Fiero thing!
Derek (Left) & Pete's (Right) cars. Pete won best in his class, best of show, and best non-stock Fiero in the Midwest Fieros competition!
Wagner's was once again a great host. Jim loves cars, and is always gracious.
Hey... you have to take a pic of your own car. Right?
I want to thank all of those you came out yesterday even when it was raining and after it stopped! it was a great time seeing many of you again! and also seeing some old face's again! A big thanks to all that helped with the show this year, we had a couple little things happen but The food was great for the little bit i could eat..lol
And a big thank you to Gerry Godwen and his wife for coming over 600 mile one way to join us. to bad he couldn't show if great car. But i do know they both had a great time. Also thank you to Tom Schmitt and wife for coming over from WI for the weekend. it's great to have other come here and support are show!
Thanks
The Prezzzzz
