we installed a set in the Tylerd Dream Build. There not just a cover that goes over your exsisting cover no. They are almost a brand new seat. deffenetley worth it.

As stated, these are REPLACEMENT upholstery.

You remove your existing seat skins, and store them... The Mr. Mikes replaces it entirely.

The fit and finish is OE or better. They are super comfortable, and absolutely gorgeous.

Yes, they are not a cover, they are re-upholster kits. you remove your fabric and put his on with hog rings.

If you want good fitting "covers" get iggee's

Not trying to hijack but how does the cloth fit and look. I know the leather looks great and I'm sure the cloth are the same as Mr Mike's work is always perfect, but had to ask.

Superb! Mr. Mikes is, by far, one of the best investments I've ever made for my Fiero (or any auto I've owned, for that matter)

Here, check out this thread. You can see mine as I did them.

His seats are great. Also note that they come with new foam for the bottom (not the molded in stuff, but the ones stitched to the cover), replacing the old worn out foam. He has a great install video. I had a set in my 86SE/355 and have them in my 87 T-top. Before and after:

Mr. Mikes work is excellent!!! I hate to say it, but the biggest problem I see with some people, is that they don't take the time to "stuff" the seat properly with cotton matting, to compensate for original "aged" seat foam shrink/settling. You can request Mr. Mike to include additional "stuffing cotton" when you order your covers. When I did mine (on 88 seats), I installed/removed the covers 3 times adding more stuffing in certain areas to address any areas that were wrinkled or not filled out completely. If you take your time the seats will look perfect.

The quality of Mr Mike's seats is oustanding. The "fit" is partially up to the quality of YOUR work when you reupholster the seats with them.

I've got Mr Mike's reproductions in my Indy. The previous owner sold the originals.

Mr Mikes are the way to go! You would not believe the comments I get on my seats at car shows.

Mr Mike seats are not hard to install as you will find most of us that have done them are all first timers and few have issues with poor fit. If you do it is install error.

Make sure to follow the instructions to the T and use the padding as given.

Most factory seats have dead foam in them and the extra padding will make for a better longer lasting excellent fit.

Note the seat area needs to be filled with the glue in foam for a great fit. Also make sure to condition your leather. Use a qaulity conditioner regularly and it will help prevent wear and cracks from drying out damage from sweat.

This is one item that has gotten a little epensive for a Fiero but compared to kits for many other cars it is a bargin. We should just be glad we have them for our cars with so little still offered.

I just did a set of Mr Mikes covers this summer. I had never done any upholstery before.
I watched the dvd twice before I started. Then I played the dvd while I did the passenger seat. I used pause and rewind a lot.
It took me 1 hour to do the passenger seat bottom and 1.5 hours to do the passenger seat back. It took less than an hour to do the whole driver seat, top and bottom.
These covers fit very tight and use the included cotton to tighten up any loose spots.
Mr Mikes upholstery and instructions are top notch. The only variable is your installation skills.
Take your time and pay attention to the details on the dvd and you will be impressed with the finished product.

I bought my Mr. Mikes seats back in 2001/2002 and they still look great.
As stated they are not covers. You actually upholster the seats. With his video it is easy to do.
The other thing is he gives you everything to to it including the hog ring pliers, spray glue, hog rings, razor blades, and the video.

I too ran the video through before I started and again as I did them.

I took the seats in the house and did them as I watched.

The only thing that is a pain is the fact your hands may be sore as you do have to pull the covers on and if you pad them right they will be tight. Also I stabed myself with the Hog rings a bit so the fingers were a little sore. Neither were any where a serious issue.

In fact my new HHR SS came with a pereformance driver seat that was different from the passenger seat. In 09 they made one for the passenger side.

I ordered the seat cover and foam needed to convert my 08 passenger seat to a the 09 seat to make them match. I had gained enough confidence by doing this kit that I tackeled the SS factory seat and today it it perfect.

Most seats recover in similar fashion. So if you want to do the interior on another car you should have the skills to do so after you do the Mr Mike seats. I have also since done work on some other seats too and no issues.

Note if you do continue buy a new set of hog ring plyers. The ones he sends are good for the two seats and they tend to wear out and get loose.

I also would recomend that with the many Fiero seats around with bad covers see if you could buy a second set if your present seats are in good condititon. Just make sure the foam is somewhat intact but it also can be repaired easy if needed.

My factory seats were perfect so I put them in storage and did not want to tear them up.

Find another set of seats to reupholster. Then you can just store your original Indy seats.
