Hey guys, here is just another build thread.

I haven't been on here forever but I used to spend.... well.. almost every waking hour on here. So as a former adict, I thought I would just post some of hte old build threads and show some pictures of what is getting done now.

This is the hood with just black base coat

This is just the car in primer

The front fascia had damage to it, so this was repaired and primered

I don't know if SMOOOTHGT is still on here or not but these scoops were his. My brother and I molded them into the back sail panels with epoxy resin (don't use polyester, we found this out the hard way)

This start to the ghost flames

this is before clear...

This is after clear... you can just barely make out the flames. In the sunlight, they just pop out.... in low light the hood looks black!

to be continued.....

Very cool. I would like to see a picture of the ghost flames in the light though.

The rest of the car hopefully will be painted this Friday so I should be able to post some more cars this week. We still need a pretty rare part for it that is holding a few things up. I am trying to find one of the T-Top trim pieces that behind (to the rear of the vehicle) the glass. There are two trim pieces that go across the roofline and I need to fi the right one.

Stay tuned for more pics!

Looks kinda burr where you are!!!!!!

I too would like to see the Flames in the light when finished. If you look at them now with an inverted eye it looks like sperms racing to the front of the car!

I have considered using a rear section of a hardtop roof panel, slightly modify the rear section with fiberglass to match the trim pieces, it would take a little bit of work but just an idea to consider. When the weather warms up.
