The collection has expanded to about 20gb of Video's as I slowly been adding local events and stuff. Plus a few dir have personal family and my new Daughter Arianna who at 7 months old is already in love with cars.

OK so this has been a pet project of mine for a while. Trying to collect all my assorted Fiero video's and get them in one place at one time and then have enough bandwidth for everyone to download them all.

There is over 20 gig of Video's all hosted on a high speed server. (trying to upload that much took me a fair bit of time) But now it is working.

Of special note, GM Tech Video's these were video's given to GM Techs training them how to work on Fieros. 3 Videos are there, Clutch, Brakes and Alignment.

20th Anv Stuff, it has video's of the 1990 Fiero, the 4 Seat Fiero and a few other Special interest Fieros being Driven.

Fieros Documentary and TV, if you have not seen the Motor week Video's grab them.

Fiero Strip in General Fiero Tech, it is a time lapse of a Fiero being torn down from a complete drivable car down to a pile of metal.

I would appreciate people to post back to this thread and let me know the average speeds they are getting.

getting like 2kb speed. Are you getting alot of hits or something?

I just checked and there does not seem to be any issues. Everyone else is still pulling several hundred kb's a second. I don't know the exact number as it is not a local server, but when I just login publicly I am getting 900kBps downstream.

Verizon Fios here, and started at 250kps then fluxuated between 350-550kps

Edit: 2nd D/L started at 700kps, fluxuating between 700-800

The elope video plot was so strange...I wonder how it was received in 1986.
I thought the two women assembling the red Fiero was meant to imply the body fitment was so easy a woman could do it. How strange in today's standards.

I'm wondering if that silver notchie at the beginning of CSI is the same Aero SE that appeared in the How I Met Your Mother episode. They're both silver wingless notchies with Aero moldings.

What happened to the sound on my 20th video's ? The ones I sent had sound.

I just checked and they seem to all have sound from here? For the most part, I did not change any video I got from any place. I just stored them on my drives, until I recently started moving to my new storage.

P.S. if anyone else is interested in there own server space, its really cheap, 5 bucks a month, for 1200GB of bandwidth per month and 120gig of storage. Drop me a PM and I will send ya a referral link, it gets me a discount if ya do.

The Answer is YES but unfortunately FTP is a dying art that most people don't use anymore.

The easy login is ftp://u49656738-uploads:uploads@ftp.captfiero.com however you must make sure that if you are using IE you open the window in an explorer view. If you don't you can't upload anything. If you have an FTP program, this will make things much easier for you.

I have an up-loader similar to the You Tube thing, but found it way to clumsy to use and required way to much work. If you go to www.media.captfiero.com you can see what was being worked on. (With a lot of help from a forum member) However I just could not get it to do what I wanted so I set the idea aside.


If you do upload something you will need to send me a PM so I can check the movie and move it over. I will make one thing clear up front, its my site, and videos posted will be entirely at my discretion. If your video's are of Fieros / Computers / general cool stuff, I'll probably leave it up. However any video's posted for the sole purpose of stirring up CRAP especially here on PFF will be removed. If I find anyone attempting to abuse the system, I'll simply take down the public links and make it private invite only.

You can also use teleport pro, that way you dont need to use dodgy ftp software. You can find keygens for it anywhere on the web, just download the trial and register it.

I am getting great speeds downloading all of the content, and i am in holland :P so you know it has a long ways to go before it reaches me lol

I just checked out Teleport Pro and it seems like it is for downloading not for uploading, am I missing something?

Uploading can also probably be done with My Network Paces in XP... It's all I bother to use for most things. It has a little trouble keeping multiple Comcast accounts straight at times but it works well enough for small things. Just create a new place using the login above. (I don't have anything to upload so I'm not testing it.)

The only time it gives me a big pain is trying to upload a folder and it's contents. MNP and some clients don't wait long enough after creating the folder before pushing the contents. It's as much a server problem as a client issue and not unique to MNP.
