Love the pop up headlights. The downside with fixed lights is that now cops have something to aim the LIDAR (laser) gun at.

Cornersonrails' 300ZX headlamp conversion. A lot of work involved but pretty slick.

Here's one I came across personally. Notice the red Fiero with the lights relocated to the parking light area. He had the normal headlight doors glassed in, but it wasn't done very good so I didn't get a photo of that.

I believe they are the RX7 aftermarket kits from eBay. I could never find them for the "$130" price so many members found on eBay. I further wondered how well the "stock" replacement headlights compared to the stock Fiero bricks. If I am going to go through the trouble of changing them It better be a performance upgrade or why bother. (even though they look seriously cool)

As much as I like these headlights I have never made it a priority to change them out. My car rarely gets driven at night and they are hidden all day

I still appreciate the new look though!

Does anyone know if these will fit width wise? They are Acura NSX headlights from back in the day when they were old school flip ups.

and these are NSX headlights installed on a Toyota Supra, if that helps in figuring out its size.

I've seen them on ebay and thought about getting them for my '86 Z24. Are they pretty bright? I'd like some ones feedback on them before I get them.

Don't get the cheap ones like I have, if you're going to do them like I did, go with the head light housings that have a pattern on the front lens for diffusing/directing the light. Mine are just clear.

Otherwise they should work just as well as the stock ones, and if you upgrade to HID they will be brighter.

As good as your lights look, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to mention that unless you have true HID housings, you will have a LOT of scatter. Even the front "Diffusing" lens does not help with light scatter on HIDs if the housing is not designed for HIDs.

Yes, they are brighter.. But the glare caused by HID bulbs in a non-HID housing is a big issue for road safety.

Again, I like your lights, they look good, and I am in no way trying to put them down at all...
Just.. Be safe.

Thanks. I have seen the ones that have the 'halo' effect, but I don't know how they'd look being a square ring.

kris munson all day

i was fedup with flip up headlights when i rebuilt the motors on my firebird so i dident bother fixing the ones that were on my fiero.
Plus when the stock headlights are flipped up on the fiero i think it makes it look like to much of a toyish car. i just love the flush mounts though. everyone thinks my car is a 300ZX till they see the back of it with them though.

I'm not so sure I agree with this being a sweet idea, to me it looks like someone trying to put the circle piece in the square hole.

I do have one part I'm looking for that I can't find. I remember seening this some time ago. One company used to make a wire or something that would hold the headlight door to the headlight somehow so that at speed the headlight cover would not open. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, it gets windy out here sometime and I don't have to be at speed for them to fly open on me, I got a video of this, pretty funny.
