!!!Our First annual Beach Cruise, Show, and Drag!!!
From the club that brings you “Fieros in the Glen”, our premier annual event, we are putting together our second and final annual event.
In the height of the summer, we would like to bring a little something new to the table for our North East enthusiasts. What better then a new venue and turn of events? We will be starting off the weekend with a casual cookout with a dip in the pool, showing the beautiful Oneida Lake region locals what Fieros are all about as we cruise the Lake's hot spots and hit the beaches, have a few drinks at some of the best local venues, then roll into Esta Safety Speedway for a show and for those who dare, find out what your Fiero can push on the ¼ mile.
The madness all starts on Saturday August 21st at high noon at Tom's house (Hardpact) in Clay NY with a cookout and dip in the pool while we group up for the weekend. We ask those planning on making the cookout donate $5 towards the cost of food and soft drinks. If you wish to drink, please BYOB. From there, it's off to the beaches! From Tom's place we will take a casual cruise around the south side of the lake to Sylvan Beach and stop to check out this little piece of Paradise. A great little town with lots to do and see. From Sylvan Beach Amusement park, to kicking back and catching some sun on the warm sandy beach, to renting some jet skis and hitting the waves, to stopping by some local music venues. There is no shortage of fun and interesting things to do at Sylvan beach.
Sunday the 22nd is the time to shine. We will be meeting up at Toms once again for a possible Tech Session and a little detail time to bring out the luster of our pride and joy before the show. Then its off to the show. Show cover is $13 the day of the event. Venue is soon TBA. From there we will be heading to the track for those of us that trust our car enough to give it all she's got on the ¼ mile. Entry is currently $35. A bulk club discount is available if a lot of people decide to hit the track and we are working on a lowered admission for those who decide not to drag. You must take a safety inspection at the track in order to be allowed to run. This is certainly no competition but rather a chance to educate ourselves on what our cars are capable of on a time slip and have a blast at the same time.
Immediately following the races will be the rewards ceremony. Classes and Awards are TBA shortly.
I would love to go but it's a 5 hour+ drive for me each way and for a one day event it's hard for me to justify that to the wife . You guys should have a blast!!!

Cookout with a pool, then a cruise to the beach where there is an amusement park and public swimming beaches, I would think the race way would be fun for a kid. In fact, I don't think anything we will be doing would be un enjoyable for the kids with the exception of maybe the tech session. How old are they and where is Fiero USA?
