Finally got to drive the convertible...about 7 miles.

So, here's a test for all you top mechanics.....
Can you correctly diagnose the problem here?

------------------
A good man is hard to find...but a good Fiero mechanic is "rare".

Check earth wire step one. Your asking someone to go through the entire diagnosis. Bite the bullet and get an inspection at least then you haven't paid for parts and labor.

If you want a real guess i would guess it is the airflow sounds like the it isn't getting air. Total guess as can't fiddle with anything sounds like it is choking up.

Oh, see, we KNOW what the issue is. It took us about 10 minutes to figure it out.
The test is for you guys....
All the info you need is right there in the short video clip, you just have to see it.

Hint...
It was a sudden onset fffffPUH! ffffpuh fffpuh fffpuh fffpuh fffpuh fffpuh....

And we do expect to be able to fix it quickly with the correct tool.

Not forgotten...

That's where it landed. We noticed it about 3 minutes after the video was shot.
I was still in the drivers seat when he said "I see what our problem is." My reply was "Did a spark plug come out?"
His reply was a hearty laugh and "Just get out and come look."

It had blown out like a champagne cork, but unfortunately left most of its threads behind. We have a friend bringing a tool tomorrow.
If all goes well, we will still make the RobsFiero benefit poker run on the 17th.

Working in a 32 bay shop I hear that sound often.

While you repairing that plug looks like your ground could use some attention

LOL my wife came home with that sound once, so I recognized it right away. You don't forget that sound, it sounds bad.
Spark plug was just gone. I installed a spare and away she went.

Yep I knew that sound too. My 84 did the same thing years ago. Grab a large Ez-out and you will be fine.

I'll remember that if I ever need to get rid of my wife. Have to say though, she's a keeper.

PS. I did guess the plug before I read on down the page!

Yep, we did, and it was back on the road in no time.

And no, we will never forget that sound.
