I thought all the manufacturers gave up on the old original BBS lace design because anyone who ever tried keeping them clean quickly replaced them for a simpler design! I guess it's been long enough now that the older people find them "classic", and the young guys don't know any different.

Depending on size, the wheels are like $1,000 to $1,500 for EACH WHEEL !
Yep. I was going to go crazy on my white GT but couldn't justify the rims costing 50%+ of the whole car. When I win the Lotto I'll do a wdie body with those
That 505 wheel would look nice on a Ferrari replica. It looks a lot like the Compomotive TS wheel.

That's what I was thinking also. Wonder how they'd look on a Mera?
How about the 454's though? What would you put those on? I feel like I've seen some classic with wheels resembling those, but can't for the life of me put my finger on what it was.

That was the second car I google image searched for, after the Countach. Couldn't find anything with wheels resembling those, mostly just the common five-hole design.
What year Diablo?

Nice wheels !! chrome lip with gold lace for my 88 but too much $$$ for me, there is a place here in Canada close to me that can get these but 1300 per wheel 18s WOW !!
They were exactly like the ones Troyboy has on his orange perfect union choptop.
I agonized over pulling the trigger and almost got them but decided against buying them outright, because i was not convinced the angular style that looks good with the IMSA widebody, would look good on the Mad Arch widebody.
Hre will widen their wheels for a very reasonable fee.

They would look pretty close to correct on a 25th Anniversary Countach.
The 505 wheels look a lot like the old Compomotive Model TS wheels that many of us used to use on the 308, 328, F-40 & T.R. replicas back in the day.
These are the Compomotive Model TS wheels on my F40...
Compare the Model TS to the 505 & you'll see it's pretty close.
I have some old pics of the TS wheels on 308/328's & they look just as good.

I seriously doubt that any of the wheels in picture will be up for sale on Ebay any time soon for the are "classics" meaning that who ever buys them-wants them for life on a classic car. Your best "bet" is to snatch up any older style 5x100 patterns on Ebay, call HRE with the sequence numbers stamped on back, and if the off-sets are close enough to a Fiero and as Tony says-pull the trigger! So far, I've seen 4-5 different style HRE wheels on Ebay and even though there were less than 1k nobody wanted them which sadly tells you a lot about Fiero owners. Some will spend 4-8k on a engine, but less than $500 for wheels.
However, if you're interested in any of the featured wheels here in pic it is best to use a well known HRE venders with a heavy volume of wheels being shipped in/out to get the best deal possible. At best you can deduct at least $100-400 per wheel. HRE will make the wheel to any specs you like (lip or no lip) and if you should happened to damage a wheel HRE will fix the wheel regardless if the wheel isn't in production. This perhaps the best feature in purchasing HRE or any high price wheels. I'm not 100% sure about other companies, but HRE can replace a wheel within 3-4 weeks tops without them laughing at you because you own a Fiero.
Back in 1999 I sought out other high end wheel companies and most of them brushed me off once I stated that the wheels are for a Fiero. However, HRE didn't spit on my money. So if your buying wheels and the dealer or maker is giving you a headache-take your business elsewhere.

Hmmm, I wonder what a set of 18x8 and 18x9' custom offset 505's would run for my Mera with gold centers? Do I need to be sitting down, or just set up an FHA mortgage on them?

I like the lace wheels, but I would never spend anywhere near that for wheels. $4k wheels can look good and may be lighter, but a $4k engine will make a car much faster.

what a joke..... I am all for nice wheels but you would have to have rocks in your head to spend that much money on wheels. You can buy full race ultra lightweight wheels for less than that.

you do a google search for "ZERO MESH Wheels" there are 2 color options (grey, polished) for these wheels. I like them, I just wish a company would sell 16-17" wheels that were "Mesh/Lace"...18-20" is just too big for a fiero in my opinion. not enough tire. some 18" wheels are awesome with the fiero for looks and handling, but on a coupe anything over 17 just looks too hotwheelish...lol
