I plan to put my car through it's paces this weekend. It's the end of summer and i'm going for broke.

Saturday is autox. First timer here. My goal is to come with in 2 seconds of a buddies Typhoon and beat DH's CRX.

Sunday is the dragstrip if I don't break something major on Saturday. Goal is to get my 10's slip finally.

I have a windshield mount for my SGS3, anyone have good experience with an app for autox video capturing G forces?

If you don't beat the Honda something must have went horribly wrong.

Good luck! Interested in seeing how the F23 holds up (or just everything in general actually).

GL at the strip, def want to see a manual fiero in the 10s! Keep that gas pedal to the floor and just no-lift-shift down the track. With the gearing you have, you should be able to hold out 4th, correct?

I think I figured 4th will go 145, can't remember. I know it's above 140mph.

Evey one says the f23 is geared to low... I found it to be just the opposite. She has some long legs. Mine wasnt happy putting to town @ 45mph in 5th.

I have the FY1 3.63 gear set so mine has longer gears. I don't have any problems driving around in a high gear at low rpm. It is probably just your jacked up tune.

1st and 2nd are definitely too short for high hp quick driving with the 'common' gearing.

I second this. In my case, 1st is almost a creeper gear, and 2nd is still over pretty quick.

Well it was raining in the morning. My car plows pretty bad. The typhone didn't show until late so they won't let him in. I jm doing pretty good for my first time. Tons of fun. On lunch now then going back for round 2. Hopefully it's dryer.

Water/rain is a great teacher of car control.
The edge is much easier to exceed.

Had a really good time. It was much more fun when the pavement was dry. I'll post the vids when I get home. That f23 is a beast. I beat the piss out of it.

If you have an I-phone, an App called "Dynolicious" works pretty well at giving close quarter mile expectations and has a skidpad for lateral G's.

Here is one of my best runs at the end of the day. It was with a 200lb passenger too. We both think I lifted the left front tire at the last slalom. This was when everything dried up for the most part. I took some videos in the rain but it was with the torque app. It only plays back with the data logging on the phone. Haven't figured out if I can upload to youtube with everything.

Got a little sloppy on this one.

After the break they ended up letting my buddy with the typhoon race. His best was 58.6 and mine was 59.40, so I reached my goal of getting with in 2 seconds.

As you can see it was a muddy mess, lol.

Didn't reach my 10 second goal but did get a new PB. Didn't seem to matter if I had 20psi or 26psi. I'm disappointed that my trap speeds didn't go up.

Forgot to record 5th run

I'll edit this post with video and such.

Nice runs, your 60 foot times are killing you,if you can get them down to 1.6 you will hit the tens.Rule of thumb is for every tenth you drop in 60 feet will double at the end of the quarter mile, and I can tell you that's right from my own car.
You got one fast car there, keep up the good work. You have enough power, just work on that 60 foot times. You can't afford any wheel spin.

I've had better 60' times before. I tried my hardest to do better. The times I spun weren't different than the times I launched hard. I was willing to break an axle too.

In your video I could hear and see tire slippage. You also need to warm your tires up more,Just keep your foot on the brake when you are warming them up,the fronts will hold before the rear.Just trying to help from what I see.Again, you have enough power, just need better traction to get a couple of tenth's in the 60 foot times.

Wow that is just bad ass with that 5 SPEED banging down the track like that, I love it. I also love the squeeking clutch pedal,

You figure that to be because of the pressure plate being so strong?? Again awesome,Ray

Congrats, so is it the F23 gearing better that the 282 for drag racing or just that you aren't babying it?

Also, are you sure that is a 1/4 mile as It looks like you are running 8's. I'm like wait was that the finish line already.

I'd like to think with a smooth launch or a second gear launch you would run faster. Your 60' sux....

Should have gone with the no-lift... Great times even still. Also need to consider popping the hood before your run, it actually helps.

Have you considered what the problem may be for the issue of the boost/power? Could you be outflowing that turbo or your intercooler? I would be really interested to see that thing on a dyno at 20 and 26 to see whats really happening.

What RPM do you shift at? With a 25" tire and the 0.98 4th and 3.63 diff I am getting about 125MPH at 6000RPM... 140MPH is 6680RPM. Does the Xfe tranny have different gears besides the FDR?

Edit: Or do you shift at 7k?
