I just got my new Sony Ericcson T68i in the mail, and need a SIM card to start programming **** . I dont got service yet, but ohh well. I was told I can only use the AT&T service? I was allways under the impression with GSM Phones, you can use any service as long as you have the SIM card for it.

The phones in N. America are generally "SIM-locked", which means the phones have a s'ware lock so they will only work on their carrier's (e.g., AT&T Wireless, VoiceStream) signal. The logic is that the carrier subsidized the purchase of the phone and they don't want you to take it to the competitor. And they want your roaming revenue rather than allowing you to buy a prepaid card when you visit Europe, etc. There are places that can reprogram the phone and undo the SIM-lock. Do a Google search on "SIM unlock" or visit www.howardforums.com for more info. Places usually charge $15-$25 to unlock a phone--I don't know what it does to factory warranty, usability, etc. Some phones can be unlocked at home by a sophisticated enduser similar to upgrading firmware. The Invision Power Board software is extreamly nice. It has tons of features (visit www.racingsouthwest.com for a preview), like a garage where members can post information and a picture of thier car. Information like what they have into thier car. Quiz's which give a person credits, to buy things like sertain things to make your user more detailed. And the credit system would work perfectly here, cause if you become a post whore, you'll be fined credits.

Could just make the mall something like...

The Mall (Post anything non fiero related)
The Shop (Post anything Fiero Related)

My tires and exhaust tip isn't fiero related, the tires were on my accord, and the tip...well its neutral as well.

Talk with Cliff about that, he told me personaly he liked my signature! Also, its hosted on my own server, therefore it doesn't take up cliffs "PRECIOUS" space!

Bandwidth.. It dont always mean the hosted picture that takes up the bandwidth.. Its the issue of downloading a stupid signature when you are on dialup. I was there before and I used to hate to see sigs posted. If I had my vote, Sigs would be TEXT only like on other forums I frequent.

I don't totally share his views on the forum, its structure, or it's rules, but I think its time to lay off a bit here.

Telling another Fiero enthusiast that he needs to go out and buy a Honda is totally uncalled for. He had his thread moved and got a little mad, leave the guy alone! If you look back on this post so far you will see that he wouldn't have said even half of his quote unquote "offensive" comments if you guys hadn't picked it w/ him.
When someone starts 'ranting' about something you don't like to hear sometimes its just best to leave him alone and let him cool off, rather than fanning the flames.

He knew the answer already. He was already mad. This is the second time he's giving me a hard time (through PM) just because he thinks the rules are not for him. His first comments to me through PM were how much this forum sucks and how terribly it was managed.

And when someone points out the obvious (namely the fact it says "Fiero related only" in the section's description, he doesn't answer "oh sorry, didn't see that", no, he answers with that these are stupid rules and again that the forum sucks.

Over 8000 people have no problem with following a few very simple and reasonable rules. Yet he does and makes a big fuzz about it. In fact, he's so hypochritical that he waits until he has what he wants (in his own words: "since I've hopefully found what I've been looking for ..., I have time to ***** now!").

So in short: don't tell people to get over it. They have every right to moan and b---- about someone who isn't following the few simple rules that make this place what it is. And contrary to what a few stuck-up kids think, this is one of the best managed forums around - mainly because it's largely self-moderating.

So 2Fast_Fieros, I'm glad you disklike this forum so much. I'm sure you wouldn't mind then if I just shut the door for you.

I don't see where anyone started telling him off and that he's full of crap until the post after he went off and starting talking about bs rules and how much the forum needs a makeover and can't compare to his beloved invision board.
ClearDark simply quoted the description of the Mall from the main page, where it specifically says Fiero related only. He quoted that and said thats why Cliff moved it. He posted two words, aside from the quote. Definately was not telling him off or telling him he's full of crap. 2Fast_Fiero came back in the next post with this work of art:

ClearDark quoted the rules. That wasn't ClearDark "picking it" with him, that was just someone trying to show him why his post got moved, simply answering his question by quoting the rules. Cliff doesn't deserve a single word of grief from anybody here regarding how he runs this place. If anybody doesn't like that, then either get the heck out or you'll be carried to the door and tossed out.

Cliff has also responded MANY times to polite suggestions and constructive criticism - that's what makes it so completely unacceptable when somebody flat out attacks him.

It sucks that Cliff gets dumped on for stupid reasons. He is providing this forum for free for all of us. Ok, sorry, I re-read the first few posts and see that I was wrong.
His anger was only provoked by being moved to O/T, which was a result
