So it's the 4th of July weekend and every Tom, Dick and Sally is throwing a party and getting drunk in the moment. I really enjoy it but ya know there is always one or two that just like to see how far they can push it. It's usually associated with youth and I can fully understand, apparently so do many of the people who live on my block.

Ya see there is a rental property just a few houses down and a few kids pooled their resources and are living there. Well tonight they were having a blast, loud music, beer, chicks, fireworks and the usual. So they are crocked and having a good time, I kinda miss it a little but thats not so much the point. They were lighting off fireworks all day and right up till about an hour ago. Yeah, right up till 4:00 am. Now I know most people would have called the pigs after 10 or 11 but I'm the kind of person who can tolorate things. My neighbors can too, either that or they are scared shitless to call the pigs.

So anyway thigs started getting quiet finally and I was drifting off to sleep when the A-Bomb baba!! went off. I was like WTF and climb out of bed and slip the shorts on and head out front. I'm watching up the street and I see 4 shaddows run from the door out into the street, light off a firework then run back into the house.. KABOOMM!! another A-Bomb.. no maybe it was a damn daisy cutter.. hell man it was freakin awesome! But enough is enough so I walk over and rapp on the door. Mind you I'm a bit apprehensive about this knocking on doors at 4am but under the circumstances I think I was ok in making a few light boom booms on the door.

No one answered much to my dismay. I heard a bunch of voices and a guy saying in a distincly drunken voice "f*** it man.. this is the f***** weekend, I don't give a ****!" and a bunch of agreements. I waited for another 30 seconds or so then turned for home rather disapointed. It really sucks when ya get old, kids just seem to know there is an old fart looking to crash the party... All I wanted was a beer to help me sleep and maybe light off a few of their "works" myself. Oh well, maybe tomorow.

I find it strange that there has not been so much as a snap n pop going off since, not that it botherd me much.

Jeez, that could have been me a few years ago. I'm sure they thought, "Oh crap, he's gonna call the cops!".

Ahhhh, to be young again......and have 84Bill as a neighbor. My neighbors weren't that cool. At least the cops were.

Man I must admit I love the liberal south.. I don't think I would call the pigs on anyone unless they were murdering, raping or stealing.
I kinda have an aversion to pigs, people I can deal with but pigs.. man I hate those SOBs
