I was just informed that Steve Plumby (a.k.a Derangedsheep) was in a very bad car accident earlier this evening. He was the passenger in a car driven by a friend. Steve was in surgery to repair a compound fracture of the femur. He may aslo have a fractured skull. And several other smaller injuries. The driver is in ICU with 2 collapsed lungs and many broken bones. One other passenger did not survive. They were travelling approximately 90MPH in a Pontiac Sunfire. Crested a hill, went airborn and into a utility pole. Everyone's thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. Steve is in guarded condition, just lowered from critical at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey,Pa. I'll be in contact with his family on a regular basis. I'll update this post as needed.
Matt

I'll reserve my rant about people driving like they are immortal for another time, and instead send my hopes for a full recovery to all that still have that option.
Matt, please pass along to Steve's family our concern, and our prayers. You always hate to hear news like this...it's even worse when it's someone you know, even if it's just through the Internet.

Please drive safely, people.
It seems to be a accident week.
Hoping they get better fast.

I didn't ask about seatbelts. His dad was very shaken when he called me. I am going to go see him Tuesday afternoon after i get off work. I'll put up any new info as soon as i get it.
Just wanted to add that if he needs anything, don't be afraid to ask. I'm sure the forum will pull together to help out in any way that we can. This makes me look back on my days of crazy driving and just how lucky I am to not have hurt myself or anyone else. Agian, we are here for him.

I don't know any of you on this forum personally, but it really is like a family here and I too am sending out my best wishes for quick recovery from all injuries. Hopefully no brain injury - some of the work kind to have. Your are in my prayers.
i REALLY hope that he pulls through ok... hes an awesome guy and is very young... hopefully the young part will be to his advantage. though i think that when he gets back he might not be so deranged but a bit more cautious. man i just hope that he gets through fine....
What can I say? Sorry to hear that. Hope they are OK and the family the one kid will recover (as best they can) soon. Stimpy said it better than I can, I second his.
