I thought I'd post this so that anyone could do a search and find some help if they're having trouble with PIP...

I have not been able to use PIP for months now. Someone told me about http://www.myfiero.com/ and I have been using it ever since. Nothing needs to be loaded on your computer. Just go the the site, it was described to me as a sister site to Pennocks. Select the IMAGEHOST tab and browse your computer for the file that you want to upload, select SEND, then scroll down the page to find the "Forum Code" line and select the COPY LINK just below it, then go to Pennocks, right mouse click and select PASTE within your post.

Also, keep in mind that there is a size limit on pictures of 100kb and 640 pixels in width. So larger pictures will need to be reduced in size. While a good photo editer can reduce both, a Microsoft utility called Image Resizer...

http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

...was suggested by a Pennocks member to be a good quick way to reduce a picture for posting. Just right-click is on the file on your computer, not on the open picture! Right-click as if deleting or copying and select the resize option.

Note:
Others who are using browsers other than Internet Explorer have reported problems when trying to use MYFIERO.COM.

What errors are you having Rick?

I run the server that the pip images and the myfiero.com images are posted on.

Thanks Jason

PIP has always worked for me....Until recently.

Now, when I go to upload, it ALWAYS goes to 8290 bytes and stops.
Will try uninstalling and reinstalling.

On the other hand.............

AVENGADOR1 !!! No one should be allowed to have an engine compartment that clean and shiny.
Would really like some close up shots of it.

for 5 years I've never had a problem with PIP.....until recently. I was jacked straight into my cable modem instead of through the router, and it was giving me errors. Hooked back up to the router, and it worked again! Maybe IP's are part of the profile or something when it installs? In any case, it works great again.

Hi Jason,

The problem that I'm was having is exactly the same that JKFIERO describes...

"...it ALWAYS goes to 8290 bytes and stops..."

I have already reloaded the software several times with no change. I used PIP successfully since my first upload a couple of years ago, and then suddenly it failed. I am on a Windows XP laptop, getting to you through SBC DSL wireless networking modem with integral firewall, and Computer Associates virus protection. Since PIP worked for so long I would assume that some software update (WindowsXP, CA, Etc) is to blame (the problem didn't surface close enough to any particular update for me to notice). To be very honest I would not go back to PIP anyway though, MYFIERO.com is much easier and convenient for me.

Thanks Much!

PS... "...AVENGADOR1 !!! No one should be allowed to have an engine compartment that clean and shiny..."
I agree totally, this must be a Fiero-In-A-Bubble, mine would get dustier than that just sitting in the garage. LOL
