The week was going great, I just quit my job to start a restaurant, I was deilivering a Fiero I sold, and I was picking up my chop top at Fierorama... Now all that seems so unimportant as I just got news that my Uncle was killed in a freak motocross accident. It is funny how the things that seem so important can become so insignificant in the blink of an eye. Thanks for listening...
Sorry to hear about your loss. A sudden death like that can be quite a shock. I hope you and the rest of your family are handling this sad news alright.

You couldn't know how right you are and how much it means to the family that he went doing something he loved. You see, he had been battleing colon cancer for the past three years and he refused to let the cancer, surgery, or even the chemo keep him from living life to the fullest. Most people would have given in and stayed in bed like the doctors told him but he was going to do what he loved no matter what. So thank you for reminding me of that.

It sucks when everything is rollin along smoothly, then something like this happens.
Sorry for the loss, man. But, the way I see is that it's better to die how he did, while enjoying life, than to have the cancer kill him while bed-ridden. I would be just like him if this happened to me. Only, I'd be going at high speed on a sweet road course in a little race car like my Fiero or something. Then I'd die doing what I love, racing.
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. The reality has set in and now I am trying to get all the logistics coordinated for what is turning out to be a very large funeral (200+ people)

I don't want to sound like I'm crass. It sounds like he left life much happier than most of us could hope for. Try to focus on the good times you shared. I can still remember my dads laugh, and sence of humor.
