I just put a clutch in one of these and man, what a high strung engine! It doesn't start to pull hard till about 6000 rpm! Then you have to shift almost instantly because your at redline. Cruising in sixth gear at 2000 rpm, it's doing 35mph...in sixth! At 65 mph, in sixth, it's turning 3500 rpm! I don't like these cars.

Tell us how you really feel...

9,500RPM redline will make some people crap themselves.

I test drove a couple of them prior to buying my Miata... They are great Track cars, but crappy road cars.

Well you really shouldnt be at that low of RPMs in a Honda. Cruising speed for them is 3k/3.5k. Shouldnt shift till like 4.5k/5k. I thought the same thing about my VW, but then I realized I was getting <20mpg when I stay around 2k rpms. Most cars are supposed to maintain a high rpm

If you ever want to piss a 2000 owner off, walk up to him and say with a straight face "nice Miata, what year?"
