Y'all may have noticed I've been kind of quiet here on the forums the past few months as I've been finishing up school.

Well I have my Final (test) for my final class for my degree on Tuesday. The final I'm not worried about, my grade is high enough that I could bomb or completely skip the final and pass but more importantly I have a phone interview for a job in Arizona on Monday afternoon. I don't want to talk about it too much but its as close to a civilian counterpart to my Air Force work as I'll likely see and it requires security clearance (which I had in the AF) so those two things will definitely work in my favor.

This is an opportunity my family and I really need, so if you would, I'd ask that you all please keep me in your thoughts and/or prayers on Monday.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

The job happens to be in the area my dad lived in when I was a kid, which is where I spend my summers, so it'd be almost like going home. I really want this job for that as much as much as for the job itself. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Thanks again, everybody!

Don, sure, it'd be a hell of a commute, but if you're interested I'll put in a good word for ya.

Zeb, the degree is an AAS in Alternative Energy and I'm also getting a certificate in Electronics Technology.

or google "interview riddles" - the top 20... and the"thought ones" like "why are manholes round?"

Good luck!

Just finished the second interview. I think it went great! Not only was the Tech Director there, but he conference-called in the Director of Operations! The tech director's favorite saying appeared to be "Textbook answer!" which tells me I answered their questions well. They told me they had a few more interviews to conduct but they should have an answer for me by the end of the week or beginning of next weel. They said the next step would be a face-to-face. They said they'd fly me out to take a look at the operation to make sure it was really something I wanted to do.

My friends you all have been AWESOME!! I twice asked for prayers and vibes that I would do well in interviews for a job and twice I nailed those interviews! I am going to ask for your help one more time:

In the second interview they said they would be making their decision at the end of the week or the beginning of next week. Can I get some prayers and vibes today and throughout the weekend that they will make the decision to make me their next Radar specialist?

Thanks again everyone and I love yo' faces!

I shall perform my "magical alchemical mystical job gettin' " dance one more time for you...

*lights a few candles*

*grabs a few dozen packets of salt*

*makes a crude circle on the floor*

*looks around the office as he slips off his pants*

"OONEY NOONNEY WHA-NAAAAA!!!"

BTW, if you DO land one of these jobs, you are required to buy this book and read it:

http://www.amazon.com/Prono...ssings/dp/B006CDPMVQ

It's under 8 bucks.

*pulls his pants back up*

Good luck, man!

Very cool.

And I will, in turn, perform "the ritual of the landed job" in front of a few unsuspecting co-workers.

Hope you get it, and once you get it, you discover you LOVE it.

Be well.

When I first read that, I thought you said, "And I will, in turn, perform "the ritual of the hand job" in front of a few unsuspecting co-workers."

And I thought, "one job gained, one job lost."

Well, still haven't heard anything so I just sent my contact in HR a note thanking her for the interviews and expressing my continued interest in the job. I'm hoping that makes me appear eager but not overeager...
