Alright everyone, I am doing reman AC Compressors for Fieros. I have two V5s done, and 1 DA-6 done. I am charging $99 exchange for these. I will charge $35 core. I will refund core the same day I get it, and I will pay return shipping. If you want me to reman yours, and you already have it out, you ship to me, and I will only charge $89 plus shipping (you get $10 off because I don't have to wait for core.)
I replace all seals with R-134a compliant seals, so you will be able to convert to R-134a with ease. If you include $7.50 more, I will include all the rest of the O-rings you will need on the rest of the car. I sell all these with a 6mo, unlimted milage warranty. (Provided that you have the system professionally charged)
First come first serve
I take Money Orders, Checks, and Paypal. Thanks everyone.

Well, that depends on some things; Did you swap to R-134a? that will eat through the old O-Rings like butter, that could be why it is leaking. If they are the original O-rings, then they are almost 20 years old, and could be cracking from age...
I can do a rebuild with all new seals, and I can include the rest of the seals for the car also. That shoud take care of the leaking. -Ezra
Very nice, and good price. I will save this post . Soon as I finish the exteriour, hopefully first of June I will be looking to redo the entire A/C system !! Do you have a website ?

Hi, forgive my nieivety (and spelling) but what constitutes the rebuilding process? Do you do more than just replace the seals? Do you test the units when you are done? I assume they come with the clutches, too, right? Not trying to start anything, just curious and in need of a new compressor. Thanks, John

I have an '87 4cyl that needs an A/C compressor. Your prices look very attractive (parts stores quote $200-up for rebuilt compressor). I'll send you a PM for details.
BTW, what is the average price for a flush and recharge?

Well, first I take the whole compressor appart, and throw all the old seals away. I replace shaft seals, body seals, and port seals, and control valve seals. I check the Control valves to see if they are alright, and replace if they are bad. I replace the clutch bearing, check the field coil, and replace if bad. I check the shaft bearing for play or wear. And replace if it has too much wear. I check all the bores for scoring, if I find any scoring, I pitch it and use another one. Then, I clean everything twice and be absoulutely sure that there isn't any dirt in the system. Then I carefully assemble and intsall the new seals. When the body is put back toghether, I prep and paint with Platikote high temp Red.
That is a simple explanation of the process. -Ezra

I have gotten behind on the curve, I am just letting everyone know that I am working out the delay in shipment for 2 fellow Forum members. I guess I got ahead of myself a little and expected some O-rings and more pressure switches to arrive quicker than they have. I have been doing a pretty good busines rebuilding these for people, and I had been quoting a 4 to 5 day turn-around, but the way things have been going I can't keep saying that. Everyone will get the compressors that they have ordered, but a few more days will be required before they ship. I have 5 of them on my bench almost ready to go out. (2 from forum members) I expect complete shipment of all 5 on Wednesday morning. So please, if you are waiting for a compressor from me, check your PMs wednesday and you will have tracking numbers. -ezra

Let me tell you that Ezra is an honest guy who is probably a little overwhelmed with all of the work thrown at him since he offered this service. There aren't too many places that will rebuild a Fiero compressor for the price he is charging, so it's likely that many are being sent his way.
He rebuilt one for me and I'm very pleased with his service. My hat is off to him for rebuilding these in his spare time....time that is hard to come by for most of us.
Dave

Why don't you advertise on my list (3800v6superchargedfieros on yahoo groups) about this. Do you also rebuild the 3800 compressors for them too? thanks for any additional information. Of course, I am going to need one [88 V6 compressor] done too, but I cant take it off the Fiero yet. (Im on deployment, car at home) Thanks S.Williams

I wasn't doubting him. And like you said he is probably getting alot of work and spare time is sometimes hard to come by. Since it is summer he is probably real busy since everyone wants there A/C to work. I have seen nothing but positives for him and with the original post being bumped up he probably has gotten alot more.
Thanks Again Ezra

Thank you for the kind words Ditch and carolinajoe, I always seem to have a knack for biting off way too much to chew! LOL, I just logged on to check my PMs, I noticed that my post was bumped up again. True I have been busy, but that really isn't much of an excuse, everyone does seem to want thier AC done in the summer, and I am swamped. I contacted the Fiero Farm and am getting some more cores shipped in for more parts. I am working on getting them out the door as quickly as I can. Thanks again everyone for your patience, I will get them to you long before the summer is out!! -Ezra

Has anyone seen or heard form Ezra. I paid for an A/C compressor on 8-9-2005 and still have not recieved it. I sent e-mails and also a post on here to him with no reply. I don't want to hear how great he is or what ever stuff, because I am NOT hapy at all. I think I have given more than ample time to get one to me, there is also another member who has paid for one and not recieved it either. I was promised 1 week turn-around and it has been 5 weeks.

if anyone just needs a 4cyl a/c compressor i have 4-5 of them, and i think they are all in working order, Ill sell them for $35 shipped US each, and ill make sure the compressure and clutch assembly turn fine before sending them out, but like i stated, im pretty sure they are all functioning units.
i may have a couple v6 ones also, but those are in completely unknown condition other than the fact they turn, and the clutches arent locked up. as-is for $25 plus shipping.
