What kind of power did those put out NA? They're supposed to be good for boosted apps aernt they? Dunno if I could adjust to driving a 4cyl again.... defninitely only with boost, and lots of it. but they're close, brand new, and cheap

I think it was 177 horsepower that GM rates it. Then again they rate the 2.2 at 140 but everything points to 160

Yeah those numbers sound pretty good. When I was working at Twistec we put down 307 to the wheels with a turbo charged and intercooled 2.2 in a 2002 caviler. Bottom end was stock just had forged pistons, rising rate regulator, and injectors. I dont' know a whole lot about the 2.4 V V T but i guess there are some guys in the cobalt world making good numbers. For the price though you can pick one up and figure out somthing to do with it later.:P

They won't bolt to a fiero trans unfourtunetly (sp lol) But on the good side the 5 speeds that do bolt are Getrags and the transes that they will bolt to are getting easier to find. As they can be gotten from L series saturns, ions, aleros, I think grand ams, cavilers, sunfires, and i'm sure there are some I missed

were pulling them out for engine swaps. the car comes in our shop brand new we do the swap and they leave. so we have a stack of them and were trying to off them, 100 of them takes up a lot of space.

ls2's and ls7's actually

It is a very good time to build a swap kit. If some one wanted to buy the engine and trans i would consider pioneering the swap for free labor.
