Anyone have a good used starter for the 2.5? We need a decent starter just to get by until the V8 swap. My son has a 84 SE w/ an automatic he'd like to get running, but there's no point in buying a new or rebuilt starter that we won't need in the future.
Thanks for looking!

FWIW, the V6 uses the identical starter.
Broadens your choices a bit.

I have one that came off my 88 2.5. Worked fine when I pulled the engine for my 4.9 last summer. It's yours for the cost of shipping....and if you'll throw a positive feed back my way when you receive it, it wouldn't hurt my feelings either

I may be able to squeeze it into a flat rate box....I'll give it a shot Thu evening after I get off work. Drop me a PM with your address.

very generous of you to send something for just the cost of shipping.

Several member have done that for me and I have returned the favor by doing the same. It's good to have members like this

Hey, thanks for the +

My pleasure. It's always good when somebody can use something that's just sitting in my storeroom gathering dust. And I can't count the number of times over the years that somebody on here has stepped up with parts and advice to help me out when I was in a pinch.

Couldn't ask for a better bunch of folks than there are on here.

I have had only one bad experience with the folks here on Pennocks.
Guys like Frizlefrak & Ernie who helped with this latest request are a perfect example of the great people in the "Fiero community".
I am fortunate to own two nice cars and I've had much help from my fellow club members (NIFE), and others here on the Forum. My son is just getting his feet wet with the car hobby and this was a good example to him on how decent people help each other.
THANK YOU guys very much!

P.S. A BIG + to Frizlefrak!
