I'm given the opportunaty to purchase brand new in the box G6 6 speed tranny's. for a very low price of $1000.00 CDN. plush accual shipping, they also come with the factory slave bearing, the catch is I have to purchase 10 tranny's for this group buy. This deal may be of intrest for Canadian Fiero owners? please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks Joe ------------------

Talk to archie, since he's doing the conversions, he may be interested in stocking these in his shop (pending they have a warranty?)

Today $1000 Canadian is $872.50 US.
What does it take to mate to the 2.8 (I shoulda been a poet).

I WANT ONE!!! Is there any way to get one shipped to sweden? If so, i will have one! Look for shipping by train/boat. Not truck/plane. I will have a look at my end on the cost for shipping. May even be cheaper to ship two tranys to either Frankfurt, or Gteborg, and Fiero1Fan and i could sort the other trany to final destination. We realy want them! :P (Might be cheaper to Gteborg, since this is a harbor-city, i could pick them up at the dock and forward one to Fiero1Fan. Just a thought.) EDIT: How many kg do they weigh? ------------------ http://www.gatbilar.se/kristian[This message has been edited by Kristian V (edited 11-21-2006).]

Keep in mind that the G6 6-speed has the same bellhousing as the 2.8 V6 (which is different from the Ecotec), but it is NOT a straight bolt-on for a 2.8. You will need a conversion kit due to the different style clutch, flywheel, etc. Archie has kits available to put the 6-speed on most engines, V6 and V8 alike.

Thank's for the info. If i would get my hands on one of these tranys, i would have all winter to bond it together with a 3800SC i have in mind. Outside the car, while the original engine/trany would still be in the car. All the time in the world. The kit is good if youre in a hury, but it's kind of expensive, i might end up using one, but it would not be my first shoice. I will try and make a adapter my self first.

I had a chat with the treasury department at home (The Mrs!). If the shipping doesent stray to far i will take two. I own two Fieros, and they would both like one. In any case, i will have atleast one. (Aiming for two though.) So please make this happening. ------------------

For those who are looking for one to be shipped in the usa, please provide me with a full address and P.M. the information and I'll get back to you all with pricing. More than likely it will be sent by transport truck, seeing that we've used this method in the pass, it works out cheaper than UPS. I'll start a list of peoples names. Talk you all soon. Thanks Joe ------------------

I can send as may as you like, they will be sent by transport truck. The more on a skid going to the same place the cheaper they will be when you split the cost up. Thanks Joe ------------------

Sign me up. See my PM. This is a sweet sounding deal, almost too good to be true. Dealer Cost in the U.S. is at least $1680.00. I had heard that there was a "overstock" of these transmissions because Pontiac is not selling as many of the 6 speed G6's as they had hoped. It's good news for anyone who would like to see the usefull life of their Fiero extended. Good Luck & send me a bunch of 'em. Archie ------------------
