I have a friend that has been a professional electrician and electrical teacher for forty years. Don claims that the smoke test is the final and most important test of any electrical or mechanical devise. The real problem is called "letting the smoke out". You are driving down the road in your car and there is a terrible puff of smoke and your car quits or you turn on your television set and there is a puff of smoke and the screen is black. In both instances, the owner "Let the smoke out". From this we can deduce that smoke is the secrete ingredient that keep many things operating correctly. Don't ignore the smoke test and above all else, DON'T LET THE SMOKE OUT !

What year did this come from? Manual or auto? Any broken or missing clips?

Marc-
Wiring Harness is off an '85 auto I think. As far as I know it is in perfect condition. Bought it here on the forum in fact from somebody about a year ago. Turned out I did not need it. I paid $50 plus shipping if I remember right. I will make you a deal just to get it out of the closet. Let me know.
Thanks,
B
