I am now the proud owner of a crushed coolant tube on my (84) Indy. Don't know exactly where it happened, the car has been in an out of shops so many times I lost track. But a failed hose led me to discover the crushed tube. My spare from my 84 is crushed even worse.

Anybody have a spare passenger side coolant tube? I can use the remnants of the rubber hose to make a repair, but I would rather have an intact coolant tube. Anyone have one laying around??

Thanks.

Jonathan

Please send me a PM if it will so I don't lose track of your thread.

I'm not sure... The Fiero Store lists the tubes as 85-87 and has no tube for the 84, so I'm inclined to think it's different, but I'm not sure.

I'll have one from a 1986 GT at the Fiero Factory Swap meet if you're going to be there or have a friend/club member going to the meet.

That sounds promising... I don't know the overall dimensions but would it fit into a long thin box? Somehow the Fierostore ships them so it must be possible.

If it were me I would take it to a UPS Store and see what they say. They may be able to just wrap it in paper, slap a label on it and mark it as 'bendable' or something like that.

They've been pretty good to me with the things I've had to ship out.

I have one you could have, but I doubt shipping would be easy.

I got my coolant tube. Many mucho thanks!! This forum rocks...where else can you ask for something and it show up at your door a few days later!

For future reference, the way to ship a coolant tube is to just wrap it up and slap a label on it. USPS Priority had no problem with it.
