I'm not really sure. There was a writer (Randy Agee, perhaps?) who used to author stories of Fiero fantasy/fiction. He may have written the particular article I have in mind.
As the story goes, there was a bit of sleight-of-hand that took place on the last day of Fiero production, when they had four otherwise complete Formulas on the line, but had run out of notchback body clips. The line workers (knowing that the end was near) realized that they had four fastback body clips in the appropriate colors, so they bolted them onto the Formula chassis. The cars were (or at least one of them was) hidden under a tarp and smuggled out of the factory "under cover of night" or some such thing. The article even included pictures of an otherwise stock-looking Formula with a fastback body clip installed.
Someone brought several magazines to a club meeting several years ago, and I remember reading that article. I didn't know about Randy Agee (if he, indeed, was the author) and thought it was a true story. I spent several years trying to find someone who could verify (or debunk) the story.
Edit - I'm not sure that it was "Fiero Owner" magazine. Only that it was a Fiero-specific publication - probably affiliated with a club.

Doesn't sound familiar, and looking through the stack I have, I don't see anything like that.

Hey BRAD, $55 for your 39 mags minuus ? was fine !!!!! $20 for your other sale was OK !!!!! $80 Total !!!!! Sell them to someone else !!!!! MEL
$55 (your offer) + $20 for the other stuff (your offer) is $75, which is lower than what I had originally listed it for. I was willing to take your offer + $5 to help cover the shipping, since that's going to be a heavy box.
You offered $75 and you're offended over me asking for $5 more?
Oh, and if you're weren't happy with the counter-offer you could have let me know via PM instead of dumping on my thread.
