Everyone,

I took this out of my 3.1 conversion when I decided to build a 2.8 motor for gas mileage. There is 80,000 miles of ware on these pieces. Everything was working fine when I pulled it out. Here is a summary:

- Ram Kevlar clutch - 80K wear - With Pressure plate, and disk.
- Neutrally balanced flywheel (GM part not Ram). (Intended for a 93 Z24)
- Used throw out bearing that came out at the same time.
- 6 Flywheel bolts
- No bolts for the pressure plate to flywheel. You will need to supply those.
- Hooks up real well in 3.1 stroker conversion.
- Had chatter for long time until it became broken in (normal for this type of clutch). Now it has minimal chatter and only on a small percentage of slow 1st gear starts.
- Both plate and flywheel surfaces have visible ware but no significant grooves.

Asking $100 or best offer shipped anywhere in the US 48 states. If someone makes me a decent offer, I may just sell it quick. It is boxed and ready to go.

Below are some pictures.

sorry to kinda hijack here, but what would make a 2.8L get better mileage than a 3.1L? they use the same fuel injection, and the 3.1L would not have to work quite as hard to get the same power output.

im gett 34.5MPG outta my 3.4L pushrod 5 speed with trueleo intake (stock motor otherwise) so i was just curious about your situation.

I have had problems with the 3.1 conversions. I have had 2 of them fail on me. 20,000 miles on the first one, and then 40,000 miles on the second one. I'm done with the 3.1 swap. I want to keep the car stock looking and wanted rock solid reliability and the 2.8 seemed to be the best choice. A 3.4 sounds great and maybe that or a 3800 SC should have been the way I went, but frankly I didn't want to do that much rework to the car. I just got done completely rebuilding a 2.8 with a bunch of extras. I am expecting to see 30 to 32 MPG from this setup. I am open to more ideas too. Pehaps this is for another thread but a good conversation none the less. I probably would have done another engine had I know I would be in it for this much money but I want to make sure that I get LOTS of reliability. I should get 200,000 miles out of the engine I just built. Not looking to put in a 20,000 mile junk yard motor with unknown internals.

Just so you know.....

The key words are "or best offer"

Seriously, make me a somewhat decent offer and it's yours. I just don't see myself using it in the future so there is no reason to hold on to it.
