Ok, when transferring my PIM and components to my new engine, I found after reading a writeup in the Ogres cave that there is a galvanized metal shield that is supposed to be between the coil packs and the PIM. For one reason or another, it was not on my old engine. I am in desperate need of a new one and I am now getting very tight on cash. I am now well over 2k into this restoration and I am not back to work yet while needing this car for a DD in a week. If anyone has one from a car part out for a reasonable price, please let me know asap. Thank you in advance

The best I can do is send you a link to the Ogres Cave.
Follow these drop down menus on the Left top of page. Powertrain Engine 4 cyl Engine DIS Ignition
Scroll down just a bit and there is an illustration of where it is located. If you see the actual PIM directly under the coil packs, you are missing one to.
My PC runs Windows XP so I can't get into the Ogre's Cave. See if you can copy and past the pic onto an e-mail for me.

I don't know why xp wouldn't let you into the cave. I have xp as well. All that stuff is copy writed so I will ask him if he minds me copying it for this use.

NP, I have sent MR. Ogre a PM and E-mail requesting the use of his content. I will let you know as soon as I hear from him. Depending on his response, I will post it here or E-mail you. Thanks again Boost!
Edit, hey boost, I have PM'd you my phone number. If you get a min, give me a call. Thanks!

Info at the cave says Windows XP won't work and I've never been able to figure it out so either that's the trouble or I'm dumber than we thought

The old menu is here. I will not be updating this menu and I know there are broken links on it. If you want the most current pages you'll have to fix your browser.

Thanks to everyone that checked into their inventory to find this part. I believe that I have found someone with it and it will be shipped to me shortly. Also, thanks to Ogre for allowing me to use his diagram even though I didn't end up needing it since another Image was posted.
