I have an 85GT for sale with 60k miles. It has been for sale here before but at that point had more problems than now. I've replaced the starter, fixed the ignition system (Kind of), flushed and burped the coolant, installed missing relays, and cleaned the intake system.

The Good

60k Miles! Lots of the little stuff is still in good condition
Decent Tires
3.65 V6 Muncie 4spd Manual
Engine seems solid (Read "The Bad" section)
Solid body except one crack in the ground effects on one of the very short pieces
Trunk is rust free, frame is very solid
All options including defrost/etc.
Seats are pretty good
Power Windows work well
Correct 85GT body including wing and Aero bumpers
Runs and drives. Drive it home!
Very solid suspension
Glass is all pretty good
New Starter
Clutch is firm and doesn't slip

The Bad

Hesitation across all RPM when accelerating hard. Sometimes bad. Needs several cans of TB/Intake cleaner or something. Maybe just premium fuel since it's "chipped". Just thought of that...will try when I get a chance.
Paint is just okay. Not great.
Ignition switch is hard bypassed with a switch because it stopped working. Push button or replace the bad switch.
Valve cover gasket leak on trunk side (Thank God).
Various aftermarket switches installed, some of them I don't know what they do!
No headlight motors (Will provide or install)
Headliner is shot
Aftermarket exhaust (Not a great one). Sounds mean but rusty.
A couple broken fuses.
Various very minor problems/annoyances.

Overall it is a solid car with a lot of potential. After a few weekends of tinkering this could be a pretty nice car.

Pics coming soon. Have to go find the old thread...

Asking 1,000. Yes, I know it was listed for 800 but it had many more issues than it does now and I've put a fair but of work into it, so don't start flaming me.

The reason it is relished is the previous potential buyer drove around 6 hours from Wisconsin but had second thoughts about driving it back. He commented he did not feel misled whatsoever, just was scared an unknown car might break down on a ling trip back home. I think it would have made the trip fine as there is no stutter when cruising, but I also understood his concern.

There were a few other interested parties before. Second chances?

And once again, if anyone wants to give me crap about raising the price, I will be happy to reinstall the bad starter, remove all the relays I installed, dump some sand in the intake/etc and sell it to you for 800.

That is awful tempting.....I have a non sunroof car with tan interior and I would really rather have a sunroof car with grey interior....

Edit to say that it is awful tempting to give you crap as well. Can I have a kick in the balls with the sand in the intake please?

That car has potential,(better looking than mine).
If I didn't already have one I would be interested.
Good luck on the sale anyway.

Ah, shucks! Seems like everyone "almost" bought this car. It's okay, though. I'm pretty sure I have a guy coming to get it tomorrow.

Sure, Thomas. Give me a call at 317-354-7360. I need to do an on the phone walkaround with you if you want to buy it sight unseen. A better idea might be to drive out here, drive it back with me driving a car, and then shuttle me home. If you want to buy it sight unseen I could sell it to you that way but seeing as how the car has some issues I'd hate to do that...

It needs:

Valve cover gasket
Ignition switch (I bypassed it into a switch for now)
Intake/etc cleaned (Dumbass PO ran it for a little while with no air cleaner)
A couple vacuum leaks fixed
And various other minor problems...more annoyances than anything.

Once again, this car is solid and runs and drives, but is definitely not perfect by any means. It needs a weekend or two of tinkering to be a nice car. I just don't want anyone to be misled by the fact that it's a 60k mile car. That's a great thing and it's cool driving a car where the power windows still work well, but at the same time, it still has issues. Speaking of power windows, I can't remember if I mentioned it or not but this car has every single option available in 85 as far as I know.
