I have a Getrag 288 from an 87GT with around 7,000 miles on a total rebuild. Syncros, bearings, release arm, pretty much everything other than the gears was replaced. Set me back quite a lot of money. The parts used were genuine GM parts, not shady Chinese parts.

The reason for selling is that I'm too scared to put it behind my 3800SC. I plan on building it to 325whp or so, and I also plan on driving the piss out of it. The sad truth is, I'll break this wonderful and valuable transmission in 30,000 miles or so and be really mad at myself. I'm keeping the 4T65-eHD instead.

It shifts perfectly, no problems at all. I don't really know what else to say about it...it's just a REALLY nice transmission!

Here is what I have and how I am breaking it down to sell. All prices are "Best offer" but it will be a while before I start getting flexible on the prices.

JUST the transmission with Rodney Dickman Aluminum double-seal slave cylinder - 500

Transmission with Rodney Dickman shifter, Rodney Dickman cables, Rodney Dickman Comp II short shifter and monster shifter ball, master cylinder, etc. Essentially a complete manual swap - 750

Complete manual swap from option two with a WCF 9 11/16 Kevlar clutch and pressure plate (over 500 in parts from WCF!) - 900

Transmission only WITH WCF Kevlar clutch and pressure plate - 750

WCF 9 /11/16 Kevlar Clutch and Pressure plate only - 300

------------------
86GT Modded 3.4l V6/Getrag with Trueleo/Too many mods to list - 210WHP

It really does have 7k on the rebuild. I picked it up from the guy who rebuilt it and I installed it in his car.

speaking of WCF clutch kits.. anybody know where they source their 9 11/16th" clutches and pressure plates from? i'm sure someone else besides them manufacturers their kit, and they just slap their name on it...

I'm think I read somewhere that it is the S10 pressure plate. You'd have to search around the forums to double check that info, however.
