This is weird Paul. I've seen that part somewhere and I'm sure I have a couple of them in my collection. BUT, I've never taken apart an Indy yet (have two in line to be operated on). Is it possible that the part is used somewhere else like on an 85GT?

I don't think so. All the other door ground F/X '85 up that I've seen have the metal strip that the ground F/X piece slides over. I suppose it's possible that some very early '85s had the '84 clips before the changeover.
I found em. And I think I remember where I got em. I have an Indy that was T-boned many years ago. About a year after I collected it I was doing some work to get the pass seat out as the B pilar had it jammed in. The pass door was totally scrap, so that has to be where I got the clips (4) that I have. I still have the car and the rest of it is in tact.
